  1. I second the KTM days because I'm a lazy bum that would rather just show up and ride.

Not to mention that's the only chance I'm going to be able to hop on and ride around on a bike worth more than both mine combined. It really is a legitimately good deal at the MSRP for the day, even better at a discount.

  2. Or the people he gave raises to in his staff.

The amount of money changing hands will not change only instead of going to the middle class working man. It will go to the higher ups.

You mean those hard-working people that deserve it - in front of their computers playing solitaire and watching porn. That's tough work compared to what you have to do Parks.

I'm just slightly getting by on $174,000/yr. And I'm not the only one.

GOP Rep: I'm 'Struggling' On My $174K Salary (VIDEO)

I need all the breaks I can get. And the only way to get them is to make sure you poor people don't have rights to organize on your wages, and if you do, I need legal recourse. There may be many of you, but I have enough money to put you all in prison and pay other poor people, who'll march to the beat of my golden drum, to watch over you disobedients.

  3. Someone gimme $10k, and I could build a bike (or find someone who could) that'd outrun all those guys. Even doing ghey roll racing. when they're getting spanked by a streched 30+ yr old kz1000.

I guess I kinda get it -- those guys wanting to flaunt their money (it's not about doing it 'economically' for them), and I applaud them for flaunting it in a way that I enjoy -- on vehicles and bikes. But, it still makes them posers.

  4. I read this ENTIRE thread and all I could think of was how I feel my Hayabusa lacking in power -- 67hp just isn't enough for me. Wait, that's wrong, that's what the SV650 puts out, which is basically the bike that spawned the Hayabusa, so my bike might only have 97-98hp. I don't know I've never dynoed it.

But, I want to ask you guys, if I'm deciding between a SRAD GSXR 750, or a BMW S1000RR. Please, further convince me. I need to perfect bike to challenge all comers when I head out to all the bike nights. It needs to look the fastest and rev the loudest.

  5. This is how I earn my zombie title... I searched and found a relevant thread to post this in w/o having to start a new one.

Anyway, this is "our" Walmart... the one I go to every Friday because it's convenient. Nothing more, nothing less. I just thought this was amusing in a "I'm glad I'm just reading about it and not the cracker being choked"-sorta way.

Woman Chokes Walmart Greeter and threatens to blow the store up, then wants to charge Walmart employees with harrassment.

    http://www.morningjournal.com/articles/2011/03/28/news/mj4315138.txt

ELYRIA — A pregnant woman and her mother were both arrested after the mother allegedly choked a 71-year-old Wal-Mart greeter and the daughter threatened to blow up the store Saturday, according to an Elyria police report.

According to witnesses, Ashley Jackson, 21, and Toni Duncan, 49, both of Elyria, were at Wal-Mart, 1000 Chestnut Commons Drive, to have a gift card reloaded and a money order sent away. After the clerk at the customer service desk did not help them, they got mad and walked away.

The pair went to leave but were stopped by the greeter, a 71-year-old Sheffield Lake man, who asked for their receipt. Jackson and Duncan said they didn’t have it and yelled obscenities at the man, calling him a “cracker.”

Duncan then pushed a cart into the greeter, grabbed his throat and began choking him, according to the report.

As employees broke up the fight, Jackson went back to the customer service desk and threatened to punch the clerk in the face. She also said that when she tells her boyfriend about the greeter, he won’t be alive, the report stated.

Before leaving the store, Jackson yelled “I’m going to blow up Walmart.”

As officers arrived, Jackson was inside a black Pontiac and Duncan was standing outside of it accusing store employees of harassing her. Police asked her what happened but she refused to answer. When they specifically asked if she threatened to blow up the store, Jackson replied, “Yeah, I did, so there!”

They were both arrested and brought to the Elyria Police Department where Duncan admitted to choking the greeter. She added she wanted to charge the employees at Walmart for harassing her.

Jackson was charged with inducing panic and aggravated menacing and Duncan was charged with assault. Because Jackson was pregnant and had two small children with her, both women were released on a summons for Elyria Municipal Court, the report stated.

    Stay classy Elyria.

  6. It looks like there might be a 4 point or at least a harness bar

You're probably right, without looking up the Texas Mile rulebook, I'd be surprised if they didn't mandate some form of roll bar/cage to enter.

Saves a few pounds and a few bucks over a full cage, but at 230mph I probably wouldn't wanna half-ass my safety equipment. Glad it did it's job.

    This pic shows the cage:

and I think there may be a door cross-brace in the first pic? I don't know. So, maybe they did have more than a 4pt?
