  1. Funny, because that's the exact one I was talking about. All the "hard work" has been done for you. Looks like the guy was real particular on how he wanted his bike, so I assume it has been well taken care of.
  2. You're silly, being all rational and whatnot. What have we learned over the past 8 years? Violence is always the answer, Might makes right, and some such other pro-"kickin' ass 'cuz we're Americans" saying.
  3. Or... you could've showed up. TT#1: 10.457 @ 135.56 with a 0.059 R/T TT#2: 10.454 @ 135.36 with a 0.099 R/T TT#3: 10.487 @ 135.85 with a 0.037 R/T TT#4: 10.736 @ 135.13 with a 0.041 R/T (Huge wheelie off the start, had to set her down and gather it back up) Rnd#1: 10.50 Dial to a 13.40 Dial (Dresser Harley) 10.598 @ 128.64 with a 0.171 R/T vs. 13.570 @ 105.65 with a 0.142 R/T I got the win light with a Margin Of Victory (MOV) of .0438 Rnd#2: 10.55 Dial to a 9.72 Dial (Stretch Hayabusa) 10.488 @ 122.69 with a 0.098 R/T vs. 9.826 @ 140.52 with a 0.153 R/T I drove the top end incredibly stupid - took the guy through by a bus length, even though I thought I slowed down plenty (122mph off my 135mph normal trap speed), broke out by a ton and crossed the finish line 0.1688 ahead of the guy (like I said - a TON). Hell, per our R/Ts I had 0.055 in the bank to play with, I should've easily won that round. Per my timeslip I was on a 10.39-10.40 pass and hadn't run that quick all night. I do remember having an almost perfect launch (carried the wheel just off the ground for about 25ft before it came back down on its own), so my 60' time was 1.782 compared to my mid 1.80's on my other runs. And the air was cooler, so I gained a little at every other marker down track. I saw the guy in my mirror and left off the throttle just after the 1000' cone, lost 13mph, and still broke out. Bottom line: I drove stupid. My brother and dad both lost 1st round as well. My dad was on his Buell dialed 12.83 and raced a guy on a fully prepped drag bike dialed 8.99, double breakout loss. My brother dialed a 10.36 and raced a stretched R6 running low 11s (I think) and he broke out by by 0.001 running a 10.359. His timeslip showed that if you took it out to the 10,000th of a second, it was actually 10.3596, so he broke out by .0004. Still good times. All the elimination round timeslips should be posted up at 1320go.com http://www.1320go.com/summit/getDates.php Select 09-02-2009, then Motorcycle E1 My dad bike (21), my brother was bike (90), I was (3) The guy from MotoLenz photo was also there, so as soon as he updates his website, I may grab some photos of the spicy buffalo killer copper busa. Here are the pics my mom took: Me (Rnd 1) My dad (Rnd 1) My brother (Rnd 1) Me (Rnd 2)
  4. Tons of cheap SVs 650s and 1000s on craigslist... that'd be almost perfect for you get your ears wet on one.
  5. Ohh, and I'm not a southpaw so the bottom eject/ambidextrous thing isn't a big issue why I'm leaning toward the Browning. I'm just looking for a cheap, reliable HD pump gun, it'll probably rarely see use, but it HAS TO WORK if I ever need it. What I've read is better build quality / fit+finish on the Browning over the late model 870s, but the 870s are the Timex's of the shotgun world with a HUGE aftermarket.
  6. Matt... you need a sportbike.
  7. I didn't want to start a new thread, so I'll bump this one. I have the option of an 870 Tactical for $289, or a Browning BPS High Cap (5+1) for $299. I was planning on getting the BPS... offer is only good until Sunday. Thoughts?
  8. I'm off tomorrow, but I dunno what my plans are.
  9. Kos... your daughter is quite the hambone. She must get it from you. And that Duc chick (in the red) w/ yota has creepy cool eyes.
  10. I wonder what his deductible was? 65 yrs old too... that's Medicare territory, yes? Socialized health insurance, FTW @ repairing the finger. But with a gimp-finger... maybe we should send him to the "death panel" since he's useless now. On the bright side - this soylent green tastes pretty good.
  11. Better his own than someone elses' bag. Some of you guys are too harsh to judge in order to make yourselves feel better about YOUR past indiscretions. It's not like he's ever eaten horse semen from giving a rimjob to a dirty male prostitute - eh, Kawikid? Judge not lest ye be judged.
  12. My folks and g/f pooled together to get me a bitching new LCD computer monitor to replace my 10yr ol' 19" CRT dinosaur.

Other than that... no. Just consider myself lucky to have survived another year - it'll be a miracle if I make it to 30.

  13. That's kinda sorta the story I heard. I was following it pretty close because of my drag racing roots. The story I got was the EPA said there was "protected wetlands" that Dzurilla (former owner) had to fight about. Funny thing was, those protected wetlands were artificial...as in Dzurilla put them there after the major revamp of MMS, so basically the EPA was protecting wetlands that Dzurilla was forced to create in the first place. Norwalk would've stayed on the schedule since they had JUST switched to NHRA. I think the plan for Mansfield was to take a lot of the points races and action from Nat'l Trails. Fun Fact: Dzurilla used to own/sponsor Dave Connelly's (an Elyria native) Pro Stock car. Which was an additional reason Dzurilla wanted to build the track. The rest of the stuff is the same I heard - as far as when the Trucks, ARCA, and Hooters Cup cars pulled out - it was a downward spiral from there. It is a shame since he really made it a nice facility. I had the opportunity to enjoy a couple of the truck races from the grandstands and the suites. They were nice, and the fireworks they had after the truck race (in '07 I think?) still rank as one of the top 3 best fireworks shows I've seen (behind Rock 'n' Blast @ Jacob's Field, and Norwalk Night Under Fire).
  14. They're super small mirrors like pig ears. For lightweight and "aerodynamics" Example of Hayabusa with "pig spotters" http://customhayabusaparts.com/images/s_busa_pig_spot.jpg Vs. factory mirrors http://www.motorbike-tours.co.uk/Suzuki_Hayabusa.jpg They make them for all other bikes too... just really tucked in, slim, mirrors = pig spotters.
  15. Copyrighted audio disabled. Free speech is ironic.
  16. WTF is going on in this thread? LTR discussions? I'm here for the gangbang.
  17. I thought MMS was bankrupt and closed shop?
  18. You could say there's been a *rash* of them lately and they're quarantining them at the county line. Silly katanas.
  19. You look like you may owe someone some chicken wings very soon...

  21. How do you guys NOT drive off a bridge? ------------------------------------------ Forget it, I quit, I can't do this anymore, man. My head's about to explode. My whole life sucks. I don't know what I'm doing... I don't know where I'm going. My dad just died. We just killed Bambi. I'm out here getting my ass kicked and every time I drive down the road. I wanna jerk the wheel INTO A GODDAMNED BRIDGE EMBANKMENT.
