This is true, and I've been waiting for the day where I'd be been called out for it.

I haven't become a supporter for the same reasons I don't lobby politically beyond my speech/time. Promotion is a type of in-kind contribution that isn't recognized as easily as the value of a monetary one, besides any asshole can donate money to a cause -- its where you spend your time and your lifestyle that shows what you really support, but c'est la vie.
