  1. I'm looking forwRd to seeing Cleve again soon. We have some business that needs discussed. He knows this and has been ducking me. Ill catch up to him soon enough.

    :beating:

Don't worry, the raincheck for that reach around he promised you doesn't expire.:D

  2. YouTube...dvd too long for them and since I "sampled" music...that'd d be a Nixxer as well. It's only the cost of mailing a card...dude. don't t be so cheep. BUT...If ya think you can get it loaded on YouTube go for it. I've heard that before....and no one has been able to get ' em on as yet.

It would be a heck of a lot quiker than mailing 'em to an APO in the sandbox!

I'm cheap, that's true...;) but it's more of a convienience thing -- I don't need to keep a physical DVD, I can access/share it from anywhere, I don't have to wait for it to get here, etc. I don't want your video editing talents to be limited to just us...share it with the world, or selective people without having to burn new DVDs for each person. One upload would save burning multiple copies of physical media.

The 'sampled' music isnt a big deal if you don't make the video public, and even if it is public, as long as no one complains, it'd be fine unless you plan on it going viral with 3M hits in three weeks :p

Facebook is another sharing option... I'd be more than happy to teach you how to convert it and upload it so it's a 'one and done' thing, instead of burning 8 DVDs.:)

  3. 7 Les Paul Google Doodle Tunes From Mashable Readers

Mashable readers have filled the comments of our earlier

post on the doodle with their own recordings — an option only available

in the U.S. version. Here are some of our favorite tunes:

  4. You being a drag racer I'm surprised you don't use them. The new Hookup and 003 ultra soft dominate the 1/4 I've been learning from another site.

The next rear I put on the Hayabusa will probably be, but I'm still running on the rubber that was one it when I bought it from the dealership -- they put on fresh right before I bought it.

Being street rubber, I don't really do a huge burnout or anything, I goose it for 1-2 seconds to spin it and put just a little heat in it, barely get some mist of smoke from it, so the current set has lasted pretty long. It's sad I don't even recall what they are, but I'm thinking Bridgestones.

  5. Like I said, the few bad making the whole look bad.

I know, I'm just waiting for Tyler to come in here and post that he knows a few bad cops and they're ALL corrupt, then tell me I need a hug.

  6. Sure' date=' this percentage. Which is bound to be exceptionally less than the folks the system has yet to catch up to.[/quote']

Probably. I still don't see the point -- the system is never going to be perfect, that's not the goal.

Do we really have to walk through and down this path again?

No welfare leads to .... which leads to.... which leads to ... and in the end, we all pay for it anyway, but now it costs more because they're in the hospital being looked over by doctors, or in jail being cornholed by Parks.

Find me another country without a welfare system where you'd want to live and then maybe we can apply that model here. Research.

<sigh> Someone give me a hug.

  7. i know a guy who buys foodstamp cards from people for half price ($500 card, he pays $250 for it, etc)....gives them cash to support their habit and he uses them to buy his own food .....and i know a guy that makes $200 a day under the table and him and his wife collect all kinds of assistance along with having a section 8 house....both "unemployed", 3 kids, one kid with some psychiatric problem (future serial killer)

abuse is not rare - rampant is a better word for it

I think we've covered that you seem to know or in some way associate with some shady characters, but because you know 2 different families out of the entire Ohio welfare system -- it's a rampant problem :wtf:

  8. Come see all the people in jail for cases of abuse

Then it sounds like the system caught up and cut them off, if they're in jail. Problem solved, now they're getting another kinda welfare that the taxpayers are paying for.

At least when they weren't incarcerated, they a) weren't required to pay 4Davies for cornhole supervision, and b) they were SPENDING that money on crap, stimulating business, even if they weren't working for it.

This thread kinda reminds me of this:

  9. welfare was never ment to be a permanent thing for those receiving it. It was suppose to be aide in a time of need and people have been abusing the system and now the system is getting back. I am not totally against welfare, just against what people have turned it into.

Point me in the direction where there is rampant abuses of the system...?? People tend to sensationalize a few particular cases of abuse and then say the entire system is completely broken. :wtf:

  10. So instead of going through all that trouble of changing the law to repeal Posse Comitatus, they merely get around it by granting the police insane amounts of powers (see: civil forfeiture, war on drugs, warrantless seizures, I can go on for days) that all combined have shifted the burden of proof from the accuser to the accused.

Add to all this the layers upon layers of insulation the police force has had for years, between the FOP, police union, and their own departmental policies, this guy isn't going to lose his job or be subject to the civil/criminal charges he should rightfully face.

I don't know what you're talking about... you act like police can just barge into your house for no reason other if they think you're doing something illegal.

There's NO way an officer of the law would abuse that power.

  11. The only favorable solution' date=' that doesn't violate any rights at all, is to completely abolish the entitlement.. altogether.[/quote']

I count unemployment, medicare, and social security/disability as entitlement programs as well. Unemployment insurance is an unfair burden on 'right to work' employers. So, as long as we're abolishing entitlements.... which is fine as long as we all agree upfront and the rules are known. Don't come  to the younger generation or the business owners that you have to work your entire life because you can't afford your prescription meds because you want to eat chinese buffet and not run 10ks everyday to stay healthy and in shape, you (or your grandpa, grandma, aunt uncle, sister, brother, family member/friend) are laid off because you can't compete with the new 'whippersnappers' who do things faster and better than you.

And it's a lot easier to say when you are employed, medically fit and able-bodied, and not over age 65.

It's also funny how everyone considers themselves "winners" as compared to the general populace. Not being a 'loser' as you define it, does not make you a winner by default. !losing != winning.
