  1. May or may not be at this one. Might have to be at BlueGrass on the 30/31 of May so... That's the next day and may be tough to do it back to back...

    Suck it up

I don't want to hear any whining about all the free track days you get to do.

  2. there is a bolt that the rear hugger attaches to right in the middle of the swing arm on the top side. make a little T bracket with a short vertical part adn bend that section @ a 90 angle and attach it there. or even just use a peice of angle iron cut it the length of the plate drill 2 holes on the vertical part for the plate and one on the horizontal section to mount to the bike. easy and done in 2 mins

Nothing like some angle iron on a nice sport bike.

  3. MJ, i have a fair amount of parts for the 500 floating around my garage. think i got some mirrors. if you want em, they are yours for the taking :) the brake pedal you can take off and hammer back into shape.

if you need any other parts or help with it, let me know. ive learned a fair amount about the 500 by trying to keep mine running lol.

also, a little EX500 tip: take off the front turn signals and take out the metal backing plate. reinstall the signals. now when the bike falls, the signal will just push back, rather than letting the metal plate punch a hole in your fairing.

Wait, you two have the same bike!?

  4. That sucks and unfortunately I can relate.

Someone swiped my car last night and blew out the drivers side corner light and headlight. No note. Totally lame.

    Sorry to thread jack.:hijack:

Edit: I just looked in the mail and there was documentation there from the police saying that the accident was documented.

I am sorry to hear about your predicament MJ. Where do you park your bike on campus? Maybe it's time for an upgrade.

  5. excessive sliding to show off doesn't produce fast lap times, but backing the bike in on slower turns like hairpins sets up the bike to point towards corner exit sooner which allows you to get on the throttle sooner.

at least that's how I understand it.
