  1. Picked up this gem yesterday. 1991 CRX, 5spd, 240K on the body, 5K on the rebuilt engine, 40mpg. New tires, new exhaust, and a fresh half-assed Maaco paint job. A friend took me up to Romulus, Michigan (near Detroit) and I drove it back. Paid $2,500 for it. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, and that's more than it books for, but I feel it's worth it. If you saw my other thread, my F150 gets 13mpg, and the TA is on storage insurance until mid to late April. This car will pay for itself in a year. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii316/OsuSully/CRX/CRX1.jpg
  2. Then you should be able to make them disappear.
  3. Buy my car instead. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87752
  4. Dremel or pull the cabinets out, which means taking the counter tops off. Is it possible that the luan is not nailed under the cabinets either? Have you tried just pulling a small section out from under the cabinet?
  5. Thanks for the info guys. I am going to try to pick up the car this weekend.
  6. I am looking at a 91 CRX Si w/ 132K miles. It looks like it's been well taken care of. Good original paint, very minimal rust over rear wheels, interior in good shape, etc. The owner has 5 vehicles and is looking to downsize his fleet to help pay for the others. He only drives this car about once a week. He said in the 15 or so months that he's had it, it has failed to start twice during a heavy rain. He said it turns over, but just won't start. He said if he's already driving it and drives through a heavy rain, it stays running. He said he parked it at a friend's house a few months ago. One day while it was raining, he went over to get it and it wouldn't start. He went back a couple days later and it fired right up. Any ideas as to what would cause this? Is this something that could be a simple fix or should I run from this car?
  7. I think I found my next car. This one is da bomb!!! http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/2254718509.html Uh, I mean, needs blowed up with a bomb. LoL!!
  8. Anyone know if this will be available to watch live on the interwebs?
  9. What should be an approximate asking price for a 91 CRX Si with 132 k miles? Does not appear to have much, if any, rust.
  10. I actually do quite a bit of hauling, so I need a truck, and my truck is paid off. If I would have known this gas hike was coming, I would have sold the truck instead of getting it tuned, and bought a beater truck and a nicer fuel saver. But since I recently dumped quite a bit of money in the truck, I'd rather keep it and get a beater/dd fuel saver.
  11. I thought so too, but was unable to find it.
  12. My truck is getting 13 mpg. I have a k&n filter, magnaflow muffler, and tune. I keep my foot off the go pedal as much as possible, drive the speed limit or 5 mph under, and remove foot from the go pedal long before coming to a stop. All that, and I still get crappy gas mileage. My car is currently in storage mode and I only drive it on warm, sunny, dry days, which won't even happen for probably another month or so. Even after I do bring it out of storage mode, I still only get around 20 mpg with it due to lead foot syndrome when I'm in this car. For those reasons, I've been thinking about getting a beater/dd. I'd have to buy the car, plates, tags, and insurance. With those additional expenses, how long would I have to keep the car to make up the cost difference? Would it be worth it to get a 4 cylinder beater/dd to drive everyday? What vehicles would you recommend? I've thought that if I do get one, I'd like something that's a 5 spd, at least somewhat sporty, and under $2000. Here's some I've been thinking about: 1. Honda Civic 2. Honda CRX 3. Chevy Cavalier 4. Ford Focus 5. Pontiac Fiero Any other ideas?

    Fixing Tile

If you have a dremel or something of the like, you should cut the grout out first and then you can chisel the tile out, so that you don't disturb the surrounding tiles. Here's a video showing you how to cut the grout: http://www.ehow.com/video_7731734_use-dremel-cut-grout.html
  17. He's only wanting to spend $85K. This one MIGHT be a little out of his price range.
  18. How much are you willing to spend? That may help narrow it down some more. Check out Canal Winchester as well. Only downside to CW that I know of is that taxes keep going up. But that's for the schools, so not necessarily a bad thing.

Have you thought about solar panels? I believe they qualify for the energy tax credit deal.
