I'm still trying to figure out why this thread is going on. The guy was in his rights to be walking down the street as he was without having his rights infringed upon. The cop was wrong and there's no argument that could possibly justify his actions. I dont care who you are or what you have had done to you in the past (i.e. robber, shot at, etc.) it give you no right to infringe upon another citizens given rights protected by the constitution and statutes because you are not in the know (as the cop was) or it makes you feel uncomfortable.

By informed what do they mean? This cop saw this guys gun and stopped him. I don't know how that can be called "informed". This leaves a lot of room for leeway because you can never be truly 100% informed of who the person is without stopping them.

just from my experience if you ever get a chance to meet the guy that makes them it will change anyones mind about their product. If there is any defect the guy wants to know about it so he cam make changes to the next models to make sure it no longer exists. His goal is to make the best product at a cheap price.

I tell you what since FIAT bought them I can guaranty you their product quality turns around. I know the president of the union at the one they just closed in NE Ohio and they were going through every car nut and bolt to ensure its all 100% solid. You're probably better off having the engine rebuilt it should be cheaper.

If you can prove that he acted fraudulent you may have a case but its a huge shot in the dark. Maybe if you have an email saying the thing runs good etc. you might be able to have a case. If its your word against his that's a tough case to prove. Sorry to hear that man we could go break his knees for you. I've heard of that happening to people before in fact I've known people who do that when trading cars into dealerships.

Japan: similar to Germany, only believed it had actually won the war, which produced dreams of Imperial dominance which led to wars of aggression over the next 20 years and directly to Hiroshima. Ouch. Turkey: just plain lost. End of Empire, end of everything for three-quarters of a century. Poland: Ah. certainly gained a certain autonomy, but lost it again to the Germans and then the Russians next time round. Nice try guys, but no win this time. Czechoslovakia: Came into existence. Disappeared again 20 years later. Re-appeared as a Russian puppet. Vanished again in the 1990s. Where? Yugoslavia: Well, ditto. Italy: Permanently humiliated. Ripe for Fascism. Virtual civil war until next big defeat, political turmoil ever since. Hardly a win there. Greece: Pretty well smashed, as usual. USA: Best candidate for title of winner, but the cost of the war, once Germany defaulted on the payment, led to the Depression, and the precedent set by Wilson destroyed American isolationism, persuaded you Yanks that the world's business is your business, and led directly to the mess you're in today - a do-do so deep that most Americans don't even know they're in it. I hate sales... a lot of people love it though the only problem with being in sales w/o a degree is if you want to get out of it and move to a managerial positions you could eventually hit a ceiling. Just my $0.02 if I could do it all again I would have gone to the Marines for 4 years left gone to college for free called it a day.
