Buddy of mine has a complete '78 Norton Commando sitting in his shop with 6500 miles on it. It belongs to his brother who bought it new. Still sitting on original tires, needs restored and dont know if it runs (his brother claims it will), but I got a total chubby looking it over. I wish I had some extra fun money laying around. He said his brother would probably sell it since its been sitting in his shop for years, but doesnt know how much he would want for it. If anyone has any interest, I will find out more details. Looks like this, but needs restored. This is not the actual bike.

I have a Kicker ZR120 running a pair of kenwood 8s, 2 poll 6s and 2 4" boston acoustics with a newer pioneer head unit. Most of the system is from 96, but it sounds good and clear and has never had problem. Someone could try to gank my old shit, but myself and all my neighbors are gun totin rednecks who are itchin for somethin to shoot at. It just wouldn't be worth it.

I bought this truck to tow and haul people and gear. Its not readable to hypermile in those situations. I started this thread looking for ideas to get maximum tune without spending hundreds of dollars which defeats the purpose of saving money. I already have $55 in plugs and 8 little 6" long wires are gonna set me back the same. What else can be done without breaking the bank?

Not sure. It doesn't have any dummy lights on, so I would assume they are ok, but who knows.

Its a 2002 Suburban 4x4. I have no idea what the gearing is, im guessing 3.73. I don't expect awesome mileage, just 15-18 would be nice. A scootoer wont tow a trailer, which is the main reason I bought it along with its people and shit hauling capacity. Btw, this is not mt DD. I'm not that stupid.

Long story short - Friend and forum member talks me into buying 5.3 V8 Chevy. Says it gets 15-18 MPG. Truth - 13 MPG driving like my granny is sleeping in the trunk. FUCK!!! What to do to make a FI engine get better mileage? Truck only has 67k I bought new plugs ($7/ea.! Iridium) damn E85 engine! Supposed to be good for 100k. Planning on new wires. There is no cap/rotor. Each cylinder has its own coil instead. Bought new fuel filter. Will be needing new tires soon - any suggestions? What else can I do? Is this just the "true" mileage of the 5.3 and I'm screwed?
