Both the FZ1 and the Z1000 are inline fours. I love the FZ1 ergos. All day comfy, handles good, brakes good and stupid fast. I still havent gotten to the point where I trust it to turn after riding the Vmax for so long.

I think so. Cleaned out the carb (it was filthy) and explained to my brother that you have to clean and oil the air filter element once in a while. It was bone dry. He has never heard the word maintenance. Seems to be running good now.
