  1. This summer for sure. I'll have my goodies attached. It's on homeboy!

Oh, I thought we were attacking the VMAX here though?

You are challenging the cop, right? Because I didn't say my Vmax was the fastest thing on the board. Its a pig. A fun pig however. And stonkin fast, but $120/yr for full coverage.

  2. ive lived in german village for 5 years. its 15 minutes from anywhere else in columbus. no major problems. my car got broken into once but thats it.

id rather live here than any suburb. suburbs suck.

GV is cool, if you can afford it, its whats around it that sucks. Its like Bexley, an island surrounded by a sea of dirtybutt.

  3. I need to learn more about these VMax bikes. It sounds like a busa in cruiser trim. Don't stop, don't turn, but as long as you have a long straight road... you ain't got nothin' to worry about.

And what gives... everyone always misses the third 'i'?:p

Sorry, actually had to go back to see how many M's, forgot about the i's.

  4. Good topic JRMMii. Lets see, My 1st love was a Honda Z50. I was 7. Yellow with a duct tape seat. Pin it in neutral, nail 1st and wheelie.

2nd was a '74 Yahama DT 360 Enduro. I was 12. My dad wasn't thinking well. Started at the porch and rode all over the surrounding farm land without stopping as it weighed about 400# and I was 6" from touching on either side. Learned alot on that thing.

3rd was a '77 Honda CB350. I was 19, it was $300. Rode that thing everywhere. Wish I never sold it, it would look good in the living room.

4th was an '84 Honda Shadow 1100. I was 21. It would keep up with my Ninja friends, until the twisties. Most comfortable bike ever.

5th was a quad. My first and only new vehicle. I was 31. Still got it. Its an Amaha

6th was an '01 Katana. I was 33. Go ahead, laugh. That pig was super reliable and the insurance was cheap. And it won sportbike class at every bike show I entered it in. (2):D

lousy pic, but the only one I have on the net.

7th is the bike I've always wanted. '06 Yamaha Vmax. She don't turn fast, she don't stop fast, she goes straight stonkin fast and DAMN, shes purty.

    And I ain't done yet.:metal:

  5. If you want a little more space, out in the country, with your expensive homes spread out and have a little more privacy, then pick Reynoldsburg.

Reynoldsburg isn't country. Its suburban hell that is going down the tubes quick.

With the exception of a few pockets, In Columbus, you are best off to live as far outside the city as you can afford to/are willing to, due to the fact that the suburbs are on the decline as everyone keeps moving farther out into the country to escape the urban blight that also keeps moving outward from the epicenter (downtown) like a slow moving wave.

The only places inside 270 to escape this are Grandview/Upper Arlington/NW side, and German Village:supergay:

Around 270, you are best to stick with gahanna, most of westerville or the NW side of town.

Unless you're rich, Then its New Albany all day.

I'm :broke: so I'm headin for the hills.

  6. All you gotta do is ask. Not like you couldn't smell the bacon anyway. LOL

How do you like the 06 Max? Mine is an 01. Love it.

LOVE IT. BUT, I had to spend a LOT of $ to love it. And it still doesn't turn. As a straight line, fire breathing, tourque monster, it can't be beat.

Its good for making Harley guys gushy too.

  7. Banks and places like MI and Dominion are mostly to blame with their predatory lending. These builders are the DEVIL:evil: and should be put out of business. They use illegal labor and have VERY shoddy quality. Many of these MI/Dominion neighborhoods are already turning ghetto and will never be worth what they sold for. (Gender Rd. is a prime example)

I've preached over and over and over...... if you're going to buy a house get a 15 or 30yr loan with a fixed rate APR. No variable rates, no arms, no interest only, etc. Its simple really, if you can't afford it, don't buy it.:dunno: Never, ever buy on a variable loan. It only results in trouble.

So, long story short....... Research before you buy, and don't buy MI or Dominion. Amen brotha Satan.

    That didn't sound right.

Thanks to companies like these and the sheer stupidity of the general public who live to impress each other with their new this or that, I have lost $40,000 in equity on a house that I bought at a good price 3 years ago. Thank God I got it for a good price(at the time) or I would be in the hole due to the bad business practices and bad decisions of others.

That being said, I'm not sure I think that bailing out people who didn't buy right is a good thing. Its like being rewarded for being stupid. My reward for not being forclosed on? Paying property taxes that are being used to "help out" people who aren't going to pay their mortgage anyway. The Gov't is just letting them live in a house they aren't paying on for a few more months.

    OK, sorry, had to vent.

  8. Its hard to imagine a city of that size shrinking by half when you can barely move around here. Canal Winchester has doubled in size since the early 90's and the quality of life has suffered for it. I wouldn't mind living somewhere that everyone has left if it weren't for the job thing.
