  1. You guys might hate clowns but how do you feel about midget kiss?
  2. I also use photoshop. Not sure how else you'd do it.
  3. I can see the advantage of having someone dedicate all of their time to you as apposed to the standard track photographer. I could even see it working out for a group of 4 or 5 people pretty well. Gixxie, if you have an SLR come grab me next time we are at the track together and I'll walk you through some stuff, I'm sure any of these guys could be a big help too. It's pretty easy but is a bit overwhelming at first. Just a bunch of variables to manipulate.
  4. Remove all extraneous hardware, see if you can reproduce the BSOD. Add in peripherals and NIC 1 at a time until you BSOD. to isolate the problem. It does sounds like a driver issue to me.
  5. It's the idea of getting up and leaving your current life for 15 months that is kind appealing. Not that I don't like it here but how refreshing it would be to start over for awhile.
  6. HL2 DM has been my game for years. [MB]VW151 is my name on there.
  7. We already had a guy at desmohio do something like this to his 998 for a show. I think he used a belt sander though. Not that it's very impressive if you did it on the track but my ducati rocks reverse chicken strips. I have the blistered rubber on the edges that hasn't been smoothed back out from street riding. On that bike I can get to the edge on the front and rear tire. On the GSXR I can't get the front to the edge. Go figure.
  8. Triumph Rocket 3 would be a cool cruiser.
  9. Aw man, that is what I was gonna say verbatim.
  10. yah the narrower the focal length the more straight everything should be. I had a 28-200 for awhile but was pissed that it was distorted even at 50mm which is not really a wide angle at all. I have a 19-35mm zoom that distorts a lot at 19mm but I can live with that. It's really just a matter of opinion. It's all better than point and shoot.
  11. I've always liked fixed focal length lenses as they are a great way to get big aperature but not pay through the nose for it. Not to mention the lenses are a lot more likely to be rectilinear. Zoom lenses, especially the one's that cover a huge range, like the 28-200mm lenses have a tendency to distort. You won't notice it unless you shoot a fixed focal length lens and then the zoom at the same focal length but it annoys the crap out of me. Having said all that. Tamron is an excellent 3rd party manufacturer and I've always thought there build quality was good. I think you'll see their stuff re-branded as things like pro-master and the like sometimes.
  12. Are the 04-05 wheels any different in terms of weight than the 01-03. Just curious.
  13. Interesting question. I suppose he can do whatever he wants in that regard but I think he's going about it the wrong way. In the video it sounds like he's trying to shut out people that play "street ball" or trashy people (keeping the tattoos to a minimum) and his way of doing it is only allowing whites. I think he'd be safer and less contraversial if he only allowed rich people to join. Maybe run a credit check or something. I think that would be a more effective way to shut out what he wants to shut out. Either way, whatever. I suppose he can do it if he wants to. Are there really "black only" colleges or are they just primarily black. In a society where you can't even keep a girl from joining the boy scouts legally I can't see how you could have a true "black only" college.
  14. OMG this is funny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqtr_RvR3sY
  15. OMFG dude, the saturn will be fine. You need to tow that shit around before you sell it just on principle. Either that or admit that my GTI is a small truck in disguise.
  16. did everyone forget that Ducatis are twins. Just sayin. Take a look at a duc or aprillia. You'll be glad you did.
  17. That's my buddy, he was helping me move.
  18. Casper. I've got a buddy in Dayton with a pretty clean 2005 V-strom 1000. Let me know if you are interested and I'll get you his info.
  19. With a small trailer and 1 bike you'll be fine. I have a 2006 VW GTI and pull 2 bikes with the trailer and car loaded with no issue. My car has more power than your saturn and probably a stronger transmission but you are only talking about 1 bike. Pics.... cause it happened
  20. Haha, I have a go pro standard def non wide angle. I have a feeling there is gonna be a lot of footage this year. My biggest thing to work on is turning in later and just picking up the pace this year. Ever since my wreck last April I've been too timid and I've been apexing early which has done nothing but make me more timid because I come out of the corner wide which is spooky. I'll get it this year though. I know what I need to do. I just need more seat time. If only I had the time and money to ride every weekend.
  21. Yah, and this year we can ride together some. I look forward to learning more from all of the Advanced guys this year. I just want to go faster.
  22. It depends on finances. I am doing Barber in March. I think I'm just gonna show up at Mid-OH in april with cash in hand and try and buy a crashed day unless it doesn't sell out. I only live 55 minutes from Mid-OH so I don't want to buy it in advanced only to get rained out. Otherwise the only weekends Mid-OH seems to have is the MAX LED type days. So I'm gonna try and do some of those. If Bluegrass actually opens I want to get ther this year, I'll probably hit putnam again. Otherwise, just depends on finances and schedule.
  23. I can barely afford to get in my track days this year. I think 1 more year of learning would be good too though. Don't think I don't want to.
