What year R1? I've got a 99 that only has a pipe and ran 10.90 at 116 because I done have full leather but another was able to run 10.2 on it. I haven't taken mine down the track much but it was a completely different then in a car.
99 YZF R1 with 14K miles asking $4500. It has a Hindle pipe and chrome wheels. I bought it just over two years ago with 3,663 miles on it. Most of the miles are highway because I drive a lot. I did take a CR track day and Mike Davis ran a 10.2 and I pulled a 10.9 at 116mph because I didn't have leathers so it's not slow by any means. Clean title in hand it has fallen over from the wind and has scratches on right side.

I used herculiner on my truck but not on the bed because it already had a spray in liner. I used it on the rockets, door sills, frame and lower bumper. I am actually impressed with the way it came out. It doesn't stick to plastic very well though.
I had two mini bikes that I started riding when I was about 6. Then I got a 2001 Honda 400EX when I was 22. I then bought my 99 R1 when I was 23 and still have. Everyone told me that it was to big for a first street bike but I think that it was great for the learning curve and I know that it caused me to respect the power.
