  3. i just do a finger tighten plus quarter turn and that has worked for everytime except one (i never actually went through the process of finger tightening, just twisted it on) so far.
  4. smash dude glad you finally made it over! now introduce yourself!
  5. seriously get someone else besides the dealer. you have got plenty of offers. why not use them?

  8. i started the bike and started backing out of the garage to head to class this morning and as soon as i got a taste of that sub zero windchill i pulled the bike right back in and went back to bed.
  9. you can check what you are at in your user CP. especially with season starting up i let it upload for a day or two and i can either match what i downloaded or more.
  10. yea you have to stay above a -100 share rating though. shouldn't be too hard.
  11. laptop -- get an S-Video cord or HDMI cord to plug into your tv. i downloaded both races from racing underground (which is now an invitation only site btw) and sat on the couch and watched both races on our tv from my computer. come on nick get with the new age! unless you have a desktop then i guess thats ok.
  12. the only hard part is getting the fluid to come through the lines initially. i rented a mityvac from my local autozone and sucked it through the finished it off with the bleeders. do you have speedbleeders brennan? you should probably get some...
  13. how many people are stupid enough to actually pay 6k for a 05 katana though? its also not really the fact that his prices are ridiculous but rather that he is in a sense "promoting" a no gear is cool attitude. i dont care if on his own time and money he rides without gear, but id rather not see him promoting the idea. if someone crashes without gear and the medical costs goes above what their insurance can cover (which is highly likely), guess who foots the bill. you and me and the rest of the tax payers. point is why not post up some pics of people riding at the gap with gear, people see it and think hey that looks cool, and then sell gear on your site as well.
  14. im sure he has some in stock. give him a call!
  15. from the wera board-- flip flop dealer: http://www.landlperformance.com/ discussion: http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=19752.60 http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?t=206367 maybe we should all send this guy an email. imagine 1900+ emails coming in about his stupid advertising. its not so much he's in flip flops, i could care less, its the fact that he is a stupid marketer. post up the gear and people will want to buy it. more profit. btw:
  16. eh if you're doing mostly street with some track I'd say you'll be fine with Galfer or EBC HH pads. i got the galfer 1375 series and I love them! i'd say the vesrah rjl's (from stg.com) are more the other way around, if you did more track than street these would be perfect, the rjl's that is. i've had good experience from kneedraggers.com, but i like stg or indysuperbikes.com simply because they will match any price on the net, even freebay, and it will be at your door in a day or two.
  17. its all a lot easier than it looks. i was in the same boat as you after my first winter, and now im changing out transmissions (well just one) and replacing clutches, etc... bikes are a lot easier to work on than it seems. no worries casper and max will help you out bud!

buy a car cigarette charger for it, cut off the plug, you now should have two wires. treat them as you would any other wires with a ground and hot. if it doesn't have the option, then it most likely runs on batteries and therefore no need for wire...
  20. when i first read this last night, i thought you mean you bought a hybrid...
  21. o yes it survived nicely i've done about 95 miles on it since i put it back together. so i can almost say i did a good job on it lol
