    Taken

this has been out since mid january... but yes it's a good one, watched it three times.
  4. +1. budgeting on 5-7 trackdays this coming year. goal is to be running 1:41-1:43's at mid oh by the end of the summer. we'll see though.
  5. before: that was 4mm lowered, now its 1.5mm like i said earlier
  6. i knew that question would come up. no i do not have my front end lowered at all (well i do, its 1.5mm lower). stock OEM bars came above the triple. the new vortex clip ons i got are much taller and would stick out above the forks like a sore thumb, so I, along with a lot of other first gen r6ers, put them under the triple. end result: the pic you see above, looks like its lowered, but its not at all.
  7. new brake setup: new brembo clear hose and moto-r reservoir mount wide view: reason i did this was because with the new clipons, the old reservoir mount would hit the clip on and be unable to correctly mount the reservoir. after contemplating what to do, even going to our local machine shop and creating my own, i opted to go with this setup. the moto-r mount is only 8 bucks and is easy to use (slips right on the end of the clip on with set screw). the hardest part of this was getting the hose the right length. to short and it would kink, and not make that new angle, too long and it would hit the upper fairing mount. this is pretty much perfect. only thing i have to do now is reroute those throttle cables, and fix the upper cowling. i somehow lost 4 screws that hold the fairing stay to the cowling itself, even though i never took it apart over winter :shrug weird. and it was apparent when i went to ride with the upper cowling mounted that i need to reroute those cables, it would get caught and bind up against the stay to frame mount and prevent full turning capabilities as well as trigger some throttle.
  8. this should i help: i use this site for all my WTB needs/wants http://ridemerchant.com/classifieds/item/find?query=lap+timer&category=0&site=&listing_format=1&page=1 FYI: i never actually went to the link, i just copied/pasted what the search gave me...sorry if nothing useful pops up.
  9. my loss your gain. everything pictured is what you get. reservoir, cap, plus gasket/seal under cap 9.01 on yoyo's site. ill take $5 (+S/H , or pickup/dropoff). reason selling: bought it to make the yoyo 25 minimum purchase. i have no real need for it.
  10. im sure we will be riding together come warm weather. i ride up there all the time going to Delaware. and make sure you go on a hocking hills ride.
  11. i went around the block just because i couldn't take it. im going across the street to correct the tire pressure and then more of the sit and wait for parts game.
  12. can you say dream garage?
  13. took the bike out today, even though i probably shouldn't have... i don't have any front brakes (i do but no reservoir...) and coolant leaking. but i couldn't resist the urge, took it around the block and it was good. new hose coming in on thursday and new brake setup coming in hopefully by saturday.
  14. man this blizzard is really pounding us here in cbus...
  15. i dont have any problems with this squid.
  16. so go in the direction of informative rather than competitive(ish)? is that what you and brian are talking about? (well brian is just trying to nuke this whole thing...lol)

  19. its an "irregular firing order" allows for a "long time" between firing so the rear can hook up and allow to settle in that "long time." http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=35140 sure it may not be the prettiest bike on the grid at first, but it has grown on me.
  20. has nobody heard the sound of this beast? tail pipes can be changed... maybe to an akra... http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=35140 i like it, lot of cool tech behind it. better get used to the back side of it cuz thats all you'll be seeing at the track HA!
  21. commercials were ok. nothing that stood out.
  22. o hell yes i have learned so much! Not only about my bike, but in bikes in general (at least the non EFI ones...) Thanks IP and Harb for the compliments! No worries about the rain, like i said this isn't going to be a show bike by any means. Hopefully will get it out on the road by end of the week. Weather looks promising (here's to hoping...)
  23. lol dude I dont care what anyone is like on here. its the internet. not a big deal how you act. i'd probably still like to talk to you about your involvement, like i said im interested in all aspects of it. unless you were the team's waterboy, then maybe not so much... but seeing as i'd probably never meet you in person unless we somehow by chance do the same trackday together, and even though i dont think i'd know you were even there...
