  1. It's a honda, so depends on how much work you want to do But in all seriousness, I usually do a fresh oil and oil filter change, clean and lube the chain and put on an old scrub tire.
  2. while these guys are kidding (but not really) about the trailer, you really don't need to get your own trailer. Plenty of people on the board from all over the state go to trackdays and many of them would be more than willing to trailer your bike if you chip in a few for gas. i think that's one of the things that scares away most first timers is the perception of a large up front cost when really it's very minimal until you really get into it. By that point, you can justify the costs by not eating, using minimal electricity and walking to work to pay for tires and tracktime ^I'm kidding, don't do this.
  3. Also a note regarding workmanship and the shift lever. Ben Spies had his shift lever come off in a WSBK event. Shit happens to everyone.
  4. Jake's not only fast on tv he's got his head screwed on right too. Very nice and respectful and extremely humble.
  5. I'm 99% sure you only need expert license to run SS. You need an expert license with x amount of expert/ss points to be able to run DSB.
  6. You guys are the first to see this image - Literally brand spanking new 2012 GSXR-600 loaded up to start tearing down next week
  7. lol should I make another poll?
  8. may as well bring your bike, grattan and gingerman are 45min from the office either way.
  9. she'll be hanging out with us up here in a few months for a couple weeks.
  10. My boss is friends with Dani. Blue - friend her, she has info somewhere in her profile https://www.facebook.com/dmedin16 If she was actually my boss, I don't think we'd get much done up here.
  11. Gets me stuff like this: NSFW Made out to me, aka "hot stuff." Must be the bike lol Dani's a work friend here and while extremely hot, one cool chick. You'd see her on various SpeedTV events or Snocross and future Riders Discount videos (secret), no pron.
  12. Did you stretch after? Any recovery drinks? Go for a light walk/cardio to get the blood flowing again and stretching out a bit naturally.
  13. you're. wait, grammar prevails even in the bathroom stall? hooray!
  14. story on the wera board was the dude who blitzed T1 had won or podiumed his first race earlier that day and was on a confidence high. over shot the 1st lap brake marker by a long shot, realized his mistake - nosied, recovered, nosied again and bounced up high enough that the back wheel hit the rider next to him in the back. these two crash out collecting a few more in the process.
  15. SJC and myself went out to Summit Point with WERA. Only thing I was really "nervous" about aside from all the other n00b stuff was T1. Long ass straight that comes to a pretty tight 2nd gear acute turn. This was my first official race other than the mock race. First time gridding, first time launching, first time riding with an angry pack of bees (racers) gunning for that top spot. I just tried not to die/crash, I really didn't want to extend the time I wore the shirt. All that and then this happens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlFGuES-07U One dude was out for the year, suspension or injury don't know. Other broken collarbone and another bumps and bruises.
  16. I need to get some more first... I have some on my alternate set of bodywork though, does that count?
  17. little more trimming for the headers and shifter, couple tank panels to be added and it's done.
  18. working on that thread. should be up in the next few days.
  19. some extra tabs off the radiator used for street bodywork.
  20. Some more progress. Mounted radiator overflow: Is it just me or does the tubing look like a sweet rollercoaster, maybe it's just late New rear brake line for a Triumph believe it or not, length fit just right with the Vortex rearset's relocation of the m/c. Also made a custom reservoir bracket: Little trim job:
