  1. yea i believe galfer 1375 series stays strong all the way to the end. i just emailed the guy who told me all this and should get a response by tomorrow. but its only the 1375 series so make sure if you do decide to buy galfer that you dont mix up 1396 and 1375 from what i was told it is a large difference (again not sure if its noticeable to the layman or not)
  2. i was reading the wera boards and came up on a thread talking about running 190's on the R6. my stock tire is 180/55/17. would it be ok to switch to a 190 as long as its still designed for the 5.5" wheel? for those that have switched what are some pros/cons of switching? it wasn't too clear on the benefits of it only that it was "different" but not defining it as a good or bad different... also for anyone selling a NEW pilot power 2ct 180/55 or 190/55 (depending on how this thread turns out) PM me please.
  3. well i think that it depends on what pads you use. if you are choosing ebc pads then you need(?) to get ebc rotors and vice versa with galfer. i chose the galfer because the guy i bought them from had some very very good information selling me on the fact of galfer over ebc. i told him i wanted good strong bite, and he said both HH series' are good for that but the galfer holds the initial bite longer than the ebc. if you were to put the amount of friction on a graph the galfer would be a straight line horizontal whereas the ebc friction line would be a negative sloping line. ill try and get some information to back that up tomorrow for you it really doesn't make much of a difference on what pads you use for your application im sure to the common layman that they are both the same. All i know to be true is you need to match pads to rotors. lines doesn't matter at all in your case.
  4. god i love brakes there is nothing better than the feel of solid stopping power.
  5. hmm thanks for that info i still got some time before the paychecks come in so i will for sure look into that and what my options are.
  6. Im getting ready to change out my rear tire this summer. Bought pilot powers for my bike and got around 5-6k miles out of them and now im noticing the rear tread is getting a little low. sad thing is i just bought them in august. But it is the only form of transportation that i have... im most likely going to get a PP 2CT rear this time around (dual compound, medium center, soft sides as opposed to soft all around w/ pilot powers) and then come time to replace both of them i was going to give M3's a shot.
  7. that has happened to me a few times back in my home town. Usually when they rev their engine and all that jazz ill say lets go and when it turns green i will go full tuck and just stay right by their side the whole time (thats hard work lemme tell ya to try and forcefully go slow...whew!). when we pull up at the next light ill say "man that thing is fast..." very sarcastically and then i blow him away at the next light.
  8. we better be able to get some better group rides together when i get back from campus people! ninja nick i know you have some good roads (as good as they can be) in this area in your book of secrets... care to show me (and others that want to join) around sometime deal?

  13. When i was bike shopping a few years ago i saw a guy buy a brand new gixxer 750. as soon as he rolled it out of the door, no joke, had two of his friends hold the bike upright while he stood up on the tank and jumped on it to make it flatter for a "seat" lamest thing i've ever seen.
