i need some help with a brake caliper rebuild i'm doing for an old 84 yamaha rz350. i don't really have the correct tools here or the space at my apartment to get the job done. if anyone around columbus would be willing to give me a hand it'd be much appreciated. i've got one done but that was sheer luck. i need mostly an air compressor, workbench, and some clamps. OR if you know someone that has a shop i'd also be willing to pay to get it done. i just need it done soon. thanks guys.

paul is extremely busy these next few weeks finishing up AMA stuff, so you'll have to be patient or persistent but he will get back to you. paul does awesome work and at a price that will for sure be a lot lower than you had in mind. and as far as the rattle can statement of it'll need repainted every few years, while this is true I'm betting you'll have crashed well before your rattle can needs to be repainted. this isn't to single you out as a poor rider, we all do it.

doesn't sound like valves at all. valves would be a little more consistent and predictable. sounds similar to what my old carb'd bike did. do you have pc3? unplug it if you do and see if anything changes.

why are you hooked on a-star? there are plenty of other brands that will be within your price range. teknic, shift, speed and strength, heoric, etc... for instance, i got my top of the line teknic xcelerator (same brand/model josh hayes uses) for 700 shipped from TJ @ ridersdiscount. in short: explore other suit options, contact tj, and stg does not run a bait and switch, they are one of the more reputable companies currently in business along with riders discount.

tues/thurs would work but i have class at 530 so it'd have to be slightly quickish (i dont see a problem with it being a long procedure...) or friday would work anytime i dont have classes at all.
