  1. i usually do use the safety pins, i did on the old bike but as i was getting ready to put them on i realized where the holes drilled up didn't allow the pin to get in because of the recessed bolt in the caliper. next wheel change though they will get taken care of with more holes. interesting about the axle, good to know. i believe it is .028, could be the .03 thanks! good to have some positive criticism of my work. i'll take more pics once i get everything off to start prep for summit.
  2. 4g in theory is all internet voip based. yes much faster, very close to a laptop with skype over a network. i have the 3g old school, i plan on waiting til the summer for the iphone 5 so i can buy the iphone 4, unless the iphone 5 is indeed worth it
  3. R6 - third gen brake pad pins/brake caliper: -- not as good as brians front pinch bolts/axle remote reservoir: rear caliper/axle/brake pad pin and cover: -- the piece that is visibly RTV'd is just the cover, you'll also need to RTV/wire the actual brake pad pin behind it (not seen)

  5. are you talking the 40 for mylaps reg? pretty sure that's not required for wera last i checked.
  6. http://ridemerchant.com/classifieds/item/find?query=transponder&category=0&site=&listing_format=1&page=1 this domain searches a bunch of different classifieds. hopefully this helps. edit: it looks like some of them may be a bit old, but at least another source to help in your search.
  7. 1: yes. 2: depends on the bolt really. most bolts are fine with just one hole. i just wired my entire bike today and did them all with only one hole drilled. however i do wish i had multiple holes on the brake caliper bolts in particular. 3: i drill through the holes on all but one: the oil cooler bolt. reason was this is a large bolt and would've taken forever to drill. so again it just depends, i know of no methodology or "proper" way to drill, just whatever suits you. 4: never used those and never really had a need.
  8. i've found that slow and steady does better for me while spraying wd40 on the bolt/bit while drilling. i guess it depends on the bolt material and drill bit but this is what works for me.
  9. is this going to be a sticky? might be a good idea.
  10. you should probably meet him at his house. i hear that's the best way.
  11. I do. Original GoPro with suction cup mount as well as the two different arms. 3M sticky mounts are used. encasing also included - might have some scratches on it I'll have to check. I think i still have the cords to hook it up to a tv, I'll have to double check on this as well to confirm. If you're interested let me know and i'll figure a price. videos from this camera (in terms of quality of video and audio) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ta99ooVQHiw works well with shock absorbing.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wG0DZiZgIq8
  12. Are they the ones with graffiti on the side of the building? If so, I was just in there two days ago to see if they had a part. Called all the big name companies around dayton and none of them had a simple banjo bolt. Stopped in curiously just to see if they did. they're currently remodeling but were friendly in terms of service, went out of his way to go through the mess and find me one banjo bolt that worked. it did definitely look like a "ricer" shop of bikes though, lots of suzukis and haybusa that are either turboed or stretched lowered w/neon etc... good guys though in the little time i was there. i can't comment on any of their gear/parts for sale or service as i wasn't there for that. but just in terms of friendliness they seemed ok.
  13. what is nelson or whoever is running the event's rain policy? same as mid oh's or a little more lenient
  14. not really. if you take it to the apple store as is with jb then yes it would, but it's not hard to plug it back into itunes and restore to factory setup before you go to the apple store...
  15. i thought this was a well written release on the explanation of events at the D200: http://superbikeplanet.com/2011/Mar/110316dmgexpla.htm -- also i wonder what sanctions will be handed down on who i can only assume is Josh Herrin -- i believe they will edit the "engine swap rule," maybe similar to nascar where major changes result in restarting at the back of the grid.
  16. guess i'll have to change my name now.
  17. as long as she keeps her clothes on she's fine (to an extent).
  18. how would i figure if it needs 32 vs 64? also i'm 99% sure i put the ram back in the right slots, but is there a sure way to tell other than just trying one combo then the other?
  19. update: replaced the psu and the tower started up just fine. i also bought more ram (2g total (2x1) to now 4g (2x2). I bought the wrong desktop ram so i wasn't able to install it yet and need to return it. however, the current OS is vista and i am attempting to update it to w7 home ed as it's pretty clear that it's better. However I am getting an error during install about 1/4 the way through the progress bar.. 0x80070001 this was doing the replace option. i tried formatting (after backing up files) as maybe a clean hard drive would work and it still does the same thing. (it didn't take very long to "format" this drive... maybe it's not a full wipe) the install dvd is an iso file that i burned onto a dvd. The dvd has worked on other computers in the past but i will try burning it onto another dvd and try with the new disk next. if a new disk doesn't work, i think i'll have to slave the drive to another computer and make sure it actually is appropriately formatted. i can't go back to vista as the format wiped the boot file from the drive. just wondering if anyone else had any ideas.
  20. jackstands under the footpegs work too. non folding pegs are best, but can still be done with folding oem pegs as long as you're careful.
  21. or you could be baller and get the gpx pro that xt offers but, i am happy with the xt ultra lap as well. it's pretty much teh standard for lap timers.
