  1. whelp....mechanic confirmed, need a new engine. After the core charge it would cost me 2k to get one from quadratec...anyone have any ideas or suggestions. Options include selling the CBR and the jeep.
  2. I pretty sure it already has some piston slap....kinda a thing with the 4.0l
  3. i have horrible credit, would love a new jeep unlimited, have nothing to really use to buy something outright. I can probably get 4k for the jeep and have my tax return, so maybe 7-8 k realistically?
  4. i can get a re manufactured engine for 1800 through quadratec
  5. I usually dont find myself this lost when it comes to this, but how difficult/expensive is it to replace a bearing? And potential consequences for driving it the next two weeks?
  6. For those of you who have a jeep or any mechanical knowledge I need some input. My jeeps engine has developed a very loud rapping noise, coming directly from the engine block. I have had lifter noise for the past few years but this is very different. It sounds like a midget is using a small hammer and hitting the engine, and it varies directly with the rpm whether in or out of gear. Oil level is good, recently changed (1500 miles since), oil pressure is good, drives normal, no loss of power, no sputtering, no smoke, no check engine light. The only thing that has been leaking is the gasket around the water pump due to a broken bolt. Very slow leak and I keep it in check and has not overheated since the fan clutch/waterpump took a shit last year. I have checked the forums for the most part and haven't really found anything which is really surprising. Any help would be appreciated.
  7. Just saying, none of my salesmen at HHG would ever recommend LCD over plasma...or even LED in most cases.
  8. If you go to a big box store that tells you that an LCD is better than plasma..you need to go to a different store.
  9. I have a stash of it!!!!! I use it for tinder!!!! I wonder how much is avg pay, calling the guy right now.
  10. ...did they make you wait to talk to a salesman? Is really the question I'm shooting for here...
  11. If you have ever tried to return something to Vances you will probably sympathize with me. If you are planning on returning something either take it as a loss or plan your whole day around it. Return policy, 30 days, with receipt. My story, had receipt, NIB, not damaged, within 30 days. Apparently you have to wait for a manager to approve all returns and speak with a salesman to write you up. I went in at 6:32, left at 7:30 for a 2 minute approval and transaction. Now, for vance's, it was not very busy, just a whole bunch of people kicking tires vs buying. I understand that they are in the ghetto and people flip a shit over nothing, but holy shit, either allow your people at the counter to return trivial shit or have a manager up front to approve those things. As well as them being fairly rude and uncaring that it was such a ridiculous practice it had to be written up on a sheet of paper...then the girl upfront scanned in into the register and electronically refunded my money to my card. This alone was more frustrating than ANY other store I have ever been in (and coming from retail management), I will definitely avoid future purchases and be more than willing to driver to Lancaster to Ohio Valley.
  12. It is going to cost you at least $70-$100 for a house call and diagnostic fyi...any repair is 90% likely to cost you more than it would be to buy a new tv as well
  13. someone get me a damn price...please lol
  14. I think my fiancee has the same thing actually. Back and neck really hurting, getting sick, etc.
  15. I have winchester xps...it is a great defense round that has some range to it. It has a 1oz rifled slug with 3 00 ball bearings if you miss with the slug. Expensive but effective.
  16. Make sure screen shots are taken and vm are recorded to send to the corp office.
