  1. People aren't giving you shit because they enjoy bitching about how you type, it's just that it's really hard to respond to stuff that people can't understand. It's a 'help us help you' thing :)

  2. But this MIT thing will be extremely scalable. 10 to one ratio on size makes it work for a car, truck or motorcycle. 100 to one power ratio is incredible. It would still be a replaceable power pack, so there would have to be a nationwide distribution system. Gas stations would have to sell them, and they would have to be easy and quick to swap. That will take a long time to develop and field. We'll see it in laptops first.

The Bloom Boxes are scalable as well. The systems Google and them have are massive, but according to this video (click, it's a good watch) you'll only need what looks to be about a 6"x6"x10" block of the things to power an average US home. That's just the reactive plate thingies though it seems...I'd assume at least a 50-100% increase in volume once the enclosure and operational gizmos are added on.

I think Bloom Boxes would make for a great crossover invention; you could have an electric vehicle with a gas tank fueling a Bloom Box and electric motor that you can fill up like any other car. That'd be good for the inevitable period of time where the distribution system for the MIT invention is still being built. Once that infrastructure is up and running, there would be no need for gas stations anymore (with regards to these two inventions at least).

Honestly what gets me most excited about this type of stuff is the prospect of finally getting off the grid. I would much rather have one of these guys powering my home and only have to have fuel trucked in every X amount of weeks or months instead of being hooked in to the power grid.

This is the kind of garbage that gives diesel a bad name here in the U.S.

Also, extra lulz to the pissed-off looking doucheclown holding the pipe in the left of the frame. I can't tell if he's thinking "god I'm such a BADASS", or "god I can't believe I have to do this".

I think we should start a betting pool: which bike will these appear on first, a Harley or a 'Busa?

  4. Is there a restriction to where you get your plates renewed? I've always done it in Cuyahoga Falls, but the bike is registered to me in Stow and I spend most of the year in Columbus.

Money is tight right now, and if they try to ding me with the late fee in Cuyahoga Falls where I usually go, I'll say 'screw you' and go somewhere else if that is possible.

  5. I've got invites if anyone wants one.

I also have one invite for blackcats games (the best games tracker out there to my knowledge). I'd be willing to give both an invite for demonoid and the blackcats invite if anyone can toss a what.cd invite my way. I really want on that tracker.

  6. Can't believe he's getting his job back :nono:

I don't do 147 because any time the thought crosses my mind I think "oh shit the cops will get me". This asshole probably thought "hell, I AM the cops!!" and did it anyway. That's why this bothers me.

  7. I can't suggest a vet, but I can tell you which vet to avoid. Never waste your time at the OSU vet clinic. They do decent work, but they're disorganized, EXTREMELY expensive, and for every minute you actually spend with the vet you're guaranteed to spend at least 5 to 10 in the waiting room either waiting to see the vet or to check out.

  8. BUUT Ricks37's pizza is really really good. I was on a kick of trying pizza shops that I never had before and I kept on going back to Grandma's pizza after I tried some other crappy pizza places

Is rick37 the guy who started a tread a while back about pizza? I think he was trying to find out more about his customer base and get some ideas on how to improve his business.

  9. EDIT: Got it taken care of. Mods, feel free to delete this.

I'm looking for someone who is in/near/traveling through Columbus who is heading to the Ohio Riders track day at Gingerman on the weekend of May 16th that has empty seats in their car. I don't necessarily need trailer space as I already have an offer from someone to take the bike up for me.

The cargo consists of myself, my girlfriend, and our bags (we'll pack as light as humanly possible!). Of course, both of us are willing to pay for our fair share of the gas, and I'll even throw in a full tank entirely on my dime at the outset of the trip from Columbus. I've got enough Giant Eagle fuelperks saved up to power a small village. Show up with an empty tank!

If anyone can help us out, reply here or shoot me a PM and we can work something out,

  10. Yeah.. I'll PM you later on this weekend.... or Monday' date=' depending on how drunxorz I get tonight at the in-laws house. LoLoL... I can install those goodies for you, though. I'll even do it sober this time!![/quote']

Hah, man, you'd be making my life so much easier. I won't be up in town until the week of the 21st, but I'll give you plenty of heads-up once I figure out exactly what I need done and when.
