TuneECU is a godsend. It's a Speedo Healer, Power Commander, error code reader, throttle body adjuster, and subsystem tester (exup, cooling fan, etc) all in one. For 10$ you can do everything you'd normally need 500$+ for on bikes with more simple electronics

For sale: Two Brothers Titanium M-2 Slip-On for Triumph Daytona 675, all model years. Pipe is in great shape overall - 4100 miles of hot exhaust flowing through it and a few faint nicks on the end cap is about all it shows. Sounds fantastic - gives the triple a very sharp growl at all RPM's, and absolutely wails once you get generous with your right hand. It's also roughly four fucktons lighter than the stock anchor, er, exhaust. Includes mounting bracket and db-killer (pre-installed). Meant to post up with a route a few hours ago, but one thing lead to another and before I knew it I was in the middle of doing most of the 6000 mile service on the Daytona. Now it's a quarter past midnight. Oops. No exact route ready just yet, but the plan is to leave from Columbus at 9:30 AM and SEO for a while, then take 800 north to Coshocton and hit some of those roads, and then finally head back to Columbus via 62 sometime in the late afternoon. I'll be leaving from the BP at Hamilton and Havens Corners at 9:30 - anyone who wants to meet me there is welcome to come along. PM me for a cell number.

I'm in dire need of a day off, and I plan on calling in sick tomorrow and riding all day long. Anyone want to join? No route yet, but I plan on leaving from Columbus and hitting a bunch of the good roads in the Southeast and, if possible, find a nice fun way to get from SEO to Coshocton area and then hit some of those roads as well. It'll be a longer day with a spirited (but not insane) pace, and I expect to stop and have lunch at some point. I'll put together a route this evening once I get home from work. I'm not going to make a call until I poke my head out the front door tomorrow morning, but if there is anything falling from the sky I'll probably stay home and maybe head out on my own later in the day My gear is totally useless against wet and cold - if it's just damp out and is drying up I'm fine, but if I get rained on it'll be a very cold, long ride.

All bikes have problems - I'm happy to see Kawi doing something about them. The R/R on Triumph's 675 models is known to be absolute garbage and they cause problems for a significant portion of owners, but Triumph has refused to do anything since 2006.

Well put together all around. I'm not usually a fan of music in riding vids, but I salute your taste in this case.

I'm not entirely familiar with your situation, but I'm assuming that you had the bike lowered so you could more confidently reach the ground while mounted? If this is the case and the bike now handles like shit or grounds out in the corners, you should take a step back and approach the problem from a different angle. Lower seats, proper riding boots with thicker soles, and proper suspension setup amongst other things can all be mixed in with a lesser degree of bike lowering to achieve your goal while still maintaining good cornering characteristics. If the bike really is handling so poorly that you don't feel safe riding it around corners, post up and ask for some help on the forum. There are lots of people here who have run into the tall bike/short rider dilemma that can offer advice, and there are also lots of people in and around Cbus that can help you implement any changes/mods you need to do to get that thing carving corners while also staying upright while stopped.

I'm quoting your post but this goes for everyone: Nobody should ever worry about slowing the group down. Stretching your legs for a few minutes at a stop sign while the rest catch up is nothing compared to the possibility of a fellow rider going in over their head and wrecking. It's common for open-invite O-R rides to be a grab bag of experience, skill level, and machine performance, and not a single "fast" person minds waiting - if they did, they wouldn't be riding with that group to begin with.

Very nice! Forget about all the performance and engineering excellence - that classic red and white livery alone is bumping Yammy up to the top of my favorites list when it comes to the Japanese brands.
