I didn't know they were limited, but those articles don't mention it. What were they limited to? I know the stock 1125r already makes 148 hp; I'd imagine they can get some pretty insane numbers with proper race setup.

As long as it isn't like wearing a life jacket or something equally bulky, I think a minor reduction in movement would be an acceptable sacrifice for reduced risk from risk of death or paralysis.
-
Just playing devil's advocate here, but the Big 4 600's are built for racing and that's about it, especially the current gen ones like the new ZX-6. Buell never really designed the 1125r for the track; as far as I know it was designed as a street bike from the get-go. Then again, someone in the market for an 1125r probably isn't buying it for track-only purposes. Hell, half the reason personally I like them is because it ISN'T a Big 4 bike. Yes, the Japanese 600's might be faster, but every kid with a few thousand bucks and a desire to go fast has one. They're a little...generic, IMO.

Too young to have seen Pink Floyd (), but I've seen Wish You Were Here 3 or 4 times now...one show I got wasted and wandered backstage and got autographs from half the band So yeah...I know all about Pink Floyd and pigs

Billions upon trillions of rep points would be yours if I had the ability to give that many...so please settle for the few I have to offer

If you need to be REMINDED to ride to work in the middle of June, then put your bike up on craigslist because you aren't a rider anyway and have no business owning a motorcycle

Good thing I bought a set back around Christmas even though all they've done is sit in my room since then.

I think I'll be calling some agencies come spring break. I'm still paying around 100/month with Progressive.

Are you talking about the XB12R or the 1125R's transmission? The Buell website says the 1125r has a 6-speed transmission.

I love food in general. "American cuisine" comes to mind first, but I don't know if I even use the right definition for it. If it comes off of a grill, I'll eat it. Ribs (<3) , steak, whatever. Basically any good cut of beef. I love "bar food" too; burgers, nachos, wings (LOOOOVE wings), whatever. I'm a big fan of mexican too, but I'm fairly picky about that. I like to keep my mexican simple...I hate when people take every ingredient that even remotely sounds hispanic and throw it on a tortilla. A few ingredients with a lot of flavor is all I need. Finally, Italian. One of the best and most memorable meals I have ever had was a delicious gorgonzola ravoli in Florence when I visited Italy in high school. A good way to sum up my tastes is...watch Man vs. Food on the Travel Channel. Nearly every episode he's done save for the seafood one was like watching porn for me. I'm also a fan of cooking. My recipe list is limited right now (ingredients are expensive ), but I try new things now and again. I'd love to learn how to make a good rack of ribs over the spring/summer, so if anyone is planning on having any cookouts and wants to have an apprentice for a day, gimmie a shout

And yes, it's built around a Harley engine. What a shocker I can't decide if silly things like this help or hurt the feminist movement. http://www.womenridersnow.com/PublicFiles/Departmentviewer.asp?ArticleID=1164 Motorcycle Built Just for Women Debuts Roar Motorcycles unveils the WildKaT 3/8/2009 The cover came off the first production motorcycle in history built specifically for women at an official unveiling at ROAR Motorcycles' headquarters in Daytona Beach on Saturday, March 7. The WildKaT is the first purpose built motorcycle designed from the ground up for women riders. "This bike is making history," said ROAR Motorcycles president and CEO, Kathy Tolleson, the builder of the motorcycle. "We are challenging the industry with the WildKaT." Women cheer as the first WildKaT is unveiled. The WildKaT is the culmination of many hours of hard work. WRN's Genevieve Schmitt visited with the ROAR team at Daytona Bike Week in 2008 when the proprietary motorcycle was just taking shape. A year later during Daytona Bike Week 2009, local media and a group of women riders watched as the WildKaT was introduced. "We will begin manufacturing the WildKaT in the spring of '09 and we have nothing but high hopes and aspirations that women riders across the land will take notice of this truly unique product," said Tolleson. "It has a unique look that I would call 'vintage modern' and is the best handling bike that I have ever ridden." The bike features a 1200cc Harley-Davidson motor sitting in a proprietary chassis that's able to accomodate both short and tall women. The frame suspension and design can be adjusted from a petite 23.5 inch seat height to a taller 29.5 inch height with no fender gap providing women a more custom fit and safer ride. Kathy Tolleson of ROAR Motorcycles points out the features of the WildKaT. Tolleson says most bikes are designed for men's stronger upper bodies and longer limbs. The WildKaT has been ergonomically designed for a woman with a narrow tank to create a narrow profile, handlebars that are adjustible, an easy-pull clutch, and floorboards that are within reach. Other features include Chrome Ride Wright wheels with billet hubs and polished stainless steel spokes (that include a lifetime warranty), Hawg Halters four piston dual action brake calipers, Daytona Twin-Tec EFI fuel management system (that's fuel injection), LED lighting and Dakota Digital multi-function instrumentation, Super Trapp exhaust pipes, Works Performance shocks, just to name a few. The bike retails for $22,970. To watch a video of Tolleson talking about the bike on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDgh6f1FRz8 Reservations for the WildKaT are now being taken. Tolleson reports that the first 25 reservations flew out the door and were gone before the end of the day Saturday. Those bike will be ready for delivery in six to nine months and will be numbered and signed. ROAR is running a special for the next 25 WildKaTs. They will be offered at a $1,000 discount and will be available in eight to 10 months. Call 386.255.7527, toll free 866.621.ROAR, or visit RoarMotorcycles.com for more information. The WildKaT is a precursor to an entire family of ROAR motorcycles that will include a sportbike called the StreetKaT, and a touring bike called the Lioness. ROAR Motorcycles is located in a strip plaza on Bellevue Avenue in Daytona Beach. Since its grand opening during Daytona Bike Week 2008, ROAR has been dedicated to customizing motorcycles to make them more female-friendly. By lowering the seat, a woman can use her legs and hips when picking the bike off the stand and can put her feet firmly on the ground when stopping. The handlebars and foot controls are also adjusted so the rider does not have to stretch but can ride comfortably. If you have a motorcycle you'd like ROAR to customize to fit you better, contact them. Their Web site is RoarMotorcycles.com. And before you give me shit for being on womenridersnow.com...someone sent me the link, I didn't find it myself

Lines painted on the side of the road that an airplane or helicopter can use to calculate your speed using the basic rate = distance x time equation. If you've ever seen Mythbusters, it's basically the same idea as the striped boards they use when filming slow-mo footage to determine the speeds of stuff. So in short; they're another way to twist your arm for money.

Hm. Does paint thinner work on road paint? This is purely a thread hijack and in no way relates to the topic at hand. I promise.

You have got to be shitting me. How long have they been there? I take 271 to 71 to Columbus to get to OSU; I do that drive dozens of times a year and I never noticed them. Not like they even need them though; Lodi is nothing but a hive of donut-munching "Yanno how fast you were going? Well I do, cuz I'm a prick" cops. Never thought I'd do this, but you get positive rep for the heads-up

Dear Lancaster, GO FUCK YOURSELF WITH A RED-HOT IRON ROD. Signed, People with things to do and places to be and no time for your bullshit. I'm still bitter about the BS ticket I got last year from them. Argh. Is it illegal to flip off these planes? I'd gladly give them the double-deuce while doing a cool 64 MPH. +rep for you for the post btw, I wouldn't have noticed them myself. Also, that guy, where are they on 71? N or S of Columbus? *edit* Oops, jumped the gun a bit, I misjudged just how close those lines are to Lancaster...guess it wasn't necessarily their fault. Still, f that city.

Oh also, here's another video of someone eating the pepper. Obviously, the last shot was fake, but the rest is real. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NNzI3RTZ7I Check out his other vids; the one title "POT DOESN'T WORK" is hilarious

I'm willing to give a shot. I've only eaten wings at QSL once, but liked what they had. Their stuff seems to be more about a variety of flavors instead of a continual ramping-up of heat like bdubs wing sauces. Everything up till the Supercharged at QSL is really mild, the Supercharged are fairly spicey, and I havn't tried the Atomic yet. But from what I've been able to find, the Atomic sauce is supposedly less hot than bdubs Blazin' sauce even at its most mild (apparently the Blazin' sauce varies in heat depending on the season in which it's made?) That gives me some hope that I could do the challenge

I'd still hit it just to satisfy the inner child that became a man during her performance at the Kids Choice Awards many many years ago.

Anyone curious about Twitter should watch The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon tonight. Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht of Digg/Diggnation fame are on and they're filming it right now. They're doing a "twitter experiment" as I type; they tweeted out for everyone to follow someone...they're probably seeing how many responses they can get in a short period of time. Those two are what got me into Twitter, and I'm sure they'll give a much better explanation about the service that makes sense to rational thinking adults

Nah, cuz then she'd be a 300 lb "inner city" chick on a 'Busa

Twitter is different things to different groups. For the teeniebopper crowd, yes it is just a fad and another way for them to be self-absorbed little shits. For the more mature techie crowd, it's a lot more than that. For example, hashtags are a method of adding a tag to your twitter message (tweet) that is easily indexed by a website that tracks said tags. This in turn creates a way for users to keep up on a common topic. Hashtags came into their own during the San Diego fires of 2007; by watching the feed for the hashtag #sandiegofire, anyone on twitter could get up-to-the-second updates on what was happening with the fires from people who were right in the thick of things. Now there are hashtags for virtually everything out there. Many websites also use twitter as a news feed so people don't have to continually check the website for updates. For example, I am following the Quake Live twitter account so I can get constant updates on server status and game updates, both of which happen many times per day because the game is in an ever-changing beta phase. Twitter CAN be a lot more than the "LOL IM EATIN CEREAL BEFORE SCHOOL TODAY LOLOLOLOLOL!1!1!" garbage that the myspace crowd is now using it for. The biggest problem with twitter as far as functionality goes is that all the really cool stuff you can do with it isn't immediately apparant. You need to use third-party apps and websites to maximize the ultility of the service, which means that using Twitter to its full potential takes a good deal more effort and thought than sites like facebook or myspace. If/when Twitter ever makes changes and natively supports things like hashtags and twitter groups, I think it will gain popularity in the 'right' ways. Right now, it's just too much for the general public to "get" because it isn't nearly as easily explained and grasped like Facebook or myspace.
