  1. Yeah that'll work, isn't that Dunkin Donuts near a Strickland's just off of Rt 8?

    *edit*

Eh apparently there are several Dunkin Donuts around that area. I don't spend much time around that part of town so I'm not very familliar with specifics. Click here for a list of Dunkin Donuts near that area and lemmie know which is the one you're talking about and I can be there at 10:30 :)

  2. Honestly I'd go both days, tues and friday. Right now its looking like tuesday for sure though.
  3. Don't you post on the BRP 650r forums?
  4. Wow you were definitely right about the Arrow...this thing is freakin' sweet. I think I might have to swing by the parking garage near where I used to work and see if I can't set off a car alarm with it...

  5. All right all right, here ya go http://www.sundaymorningrides.com/road/5550932/
  6. Mostly out of sheer paranoia. I mean, a website where a cop can go and have a list of where a bunch of motorcyclists will be at a certain date and time while probably breaking the speed limit? Just when you thought their job couldn't get any easier... (well, the traffic cop part of the job) I remember there was a decent amount of debate about publicly posting routes before a group ride sometime last season, there were good points on both sides of the argument, but I can't remember more than that one for now (it's 2 am cut me some slack lol) Shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to share a nice convenient link with the full google maps plot of the route. I can tell you that it starts in East Canton, heads east to Lisbon, turns south through Salineville and to Amsterdam, then turns west from Amsterdam until Leesville, then heads up north through Delroy and Waynesburg and continues north back to the starting point in East Canton.
  7. I'm up for any sunny day really; Wednesday looks like rain and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday are all high of 56 and partly cloudy. I'd prefer to go Tuesday simply because I'm impatient, but as long as it isn't raining I'm good to go.
  8. Technically twice; one time during the figure-8's during my MSF course, but it wasn't so much a 'wreck' as an 'oh the bike wants to fall, I'll step off the left peg and let it do it's thing so I save a scrape on the knee'. The second time was maybe 2 or 3 weeks after buying my bike, I was braking while turning into a parking lot and hit some gravel; front end washed out doing about 10 mph tops. Almost entirely cosmetic damage, and the only lasting injury is a thumb that never healed properly and that I don't have full range of motion in. Small price to pay and a good lesson learned. Hopefully that's my first and last time down on the street...but you know what they say about riders in their third season of riding... *scared*
  9. Oh I forgot to ask; were you guys out near Boston Mills at all today? I passed a group under the big bridges (what are those, the turnpike? I forget) and I think I saw a few bikes that fit your group's description. If that was you guys, I was the guy on the blue 650 in all black leathers/helmet that waved under the bridge closest to the ski hill.

    huge thanks

This is Ohio Riders dude. 'Kinda ghey' is a line that was crossed a long time ago
  11. Checking someone's grandma's shoes for bombs, and interrogating an Iranian doctor during a "random" security stop, of course.
  12. +rep for you sir. I know that in a group ride situation many people may not be familiar with each other and it can be intimidating to step up and say what needs to be said, but a little communication can go a long way. If at the beginning of the ride the leader said "This is my idea of how this is going to happen and how I plan on riding, any objections/suggestions?", people would all be on the same page. Also it's equally important for all the riders involved to voice their opinions, especially if they are uncomfortable with the ride. I'm pretty sure that nobody, at least nobody that I know on these forums, is going to go "shut up and ride faster pussy" if someone let it be known that the pace was a bit much for them. We're all riders: we're all out there to have fun and to stay safe, and as far as I know we've got each others backs when it comes to this type of thing. *edited because I realized I used the word 'that' about 7 times in one sentence*
  13. Wow, that's dedication. If that were my bike, I'da spent an hour feeling terrible about the wreck, an hour pissing and moaning and complaining up a storm, and then finally picked the bike up and limped home where I would finish with a few days of feeling sorry for myself. Glad everyone made it out without any major injuries
  14. So I'm really itching to get out and ride near Canton this week while I'm home for spring break; anyone game? http://www.weather.com/outlook/recreation/outdoors/tenday/USOH0156?from=36hr_topnav_outdoors Looks like Wednesday is rain, and the rest of the week is mid-50's with more rain on the weekend. I'm free any time this week, but the sooner the better IMO I don't really care exactly where/what roads we ride, I just know that Canton has some of the better roads without heading clear down to Coshocton or further south. I have a ~100 mile loop I like to ride that starts at East Canton and circles clockwise east/southeast and ends back in East Canton. I'd be happy to lead a ride on that route if nobody has any ideas, but I can't promise any knee-dragging or really fast paces; I'm not much of a group ride leader mostly because I have very little experience doing so (though we wouldn't get lost at all; GPS = woot). I'd rather follow than lead but I'll do what I have to in order to get out and ride If anyone is interested in setting something up lemmie know, I'm up for more or less anything involving twisties
  15. Drunken Coshoctonites? I can hear the sheep bleating in agonizing dismay already...
  16. People can complain about how others behave in group rides all they like, but at the end of the day it's up to you to ride your own ride. The leader of a group ride doesn't take responsibility for anyone's safety beyond not leading them off a cliff or something blatantly dangerous...it's not like you have to match the leaders pace and ride above your limits. If the pace is too fast, there's nothing wrong with dropping to the back of the group and keeping a pace that's more comfortable for you. That being said, a group ride leader should have the common sense to wait for everyone to regroup at intersections etc so anyone who doesn't want to keep his pace can catch up and stay with the group.
  17. Wish I coulda made it but I didn't have my bike back together until about 2:30ish today

    Ride

K, when and where A sport twin group ride would really mess with other people on the road/pedestrians. They'd see a big group of flashy sportbikes and expect to hear the trademark angry hairclipper/behemoth mosquito scream of a pack of i4's, but be totally flabbergasted by the weird sounds actually emanating from the group
  19. 3 I believe. I know thats how long insurance companies count em against you.
  20. Just spoke with Chris and I'll be gettin em done early sunday morning Thanks Yota *edit* Got 'em done this morning and rode around on the new rubber for a while today; everything went off without a hitch. Chris did a solid job and that is one hell of a setup he's got there...that garage is sick! Thanks again for referring me to him Yota
  21. I'm interested but can't make a call until details are posted up. I'm very interested in heading south of Canton; I myself have a loop dialed in to my GPS that I love to ride...I love that area. I'm up for whatever though. It mostly depends on if my tires will be up to snuff for whatever type of ride is decided on; I've got a new set of donuts ready to go on the bike but I'm waiting for Yotaman's friend to call me back so I can set up an appointment to get them mounted. My current rubber is terrible and I dunno if I'd trust em...gotta feel it out tomorrow when I un-garage the bike. I sort of abused them really badly at the end of last season cuz I assumed I'd never have to ride them again... *edit* Woooo, just got a call from the tire guy. Looks like I'm getting em done early in the morning on Sunday; I should have everything put back together by noonish.
  22. Bah humbug, looks like Progressive is just slow; my ticket shows up on that site clear as day. Oh well, this is something I really needed to know. I was considering getting some insurance quotes and maybe switching from Progressive, but since any new policy will undoubtedly have the ticket factored in, Progressive is by default lower than anyone else until it updates my record. Thanks ReconRat, rep given
  23. Oh cool thanks, didn't know you could do that. 2$ is much more reasonable than the ridiculous 20-30$ other sites wanted for the same thing (though the other sites probably do it faster than 14-21 days)
  24. My mom used to be able to run MVR reports and pull up people's driving records when she worked at her old job (bus garage manager), but she doesn't work there anymore so we don't have access to that. I know you can get them online from third-party sites, but it costs money and it's not really worth that much to me. Can anyone here run MVR reports? I'm really curious to see mine; I got a ticket last year and it hasn't shown up on my insurance policy yet, so I'm curious if either Progressive is just slow in checking driving records or if maybe the judge was super nice and didn't put it on my record (he DID drop the fine down to just 20$, so who knows...maybe he was feeling generois) If you have the ability to check driving records, lemmie know and I'll PM you my drivers lisence #. Thanks
