  1. I like t-mobile's hottie on a ducati, but their signal totally sucks.
  2. What qualifies someone to run the executive branch of our government? Why does that (or do those) qualify them to lead? no spin, no bias, completely open ended question.
  3. We buy tooling based on forecasted sales... The auto manufacturer says we need 100,000/yr for 5 years, we know how many blow molds we need to buy, and how many secondary machines we need, and how many presses we need to run to support those molds. The molds themselves have at least 3 months of lead time from final design approval to delivery. The secondaries vary more depending upon complexity, a month to 6 months. if we need to buy more presses, and have them installed and approved for use, that's going to be a 6 month minimum project, probably closer to a year. Then we have to consider all of the supporting infrastructure (tow motors, packaging, assembly, child parts) you're looking at a hole for near a year before we could honestly increase capacity. Now in the interim, we could get special orders to run 7 days a week, but that's going to cost the auto manufacturer a premium. Their parts go up in price, their cars go up in price.
  4. I'd go to the jewelery store and get a "jaykay" gift when she gets pissed.... but that's just me
  5. Could you name a few? remember you can't name any of the following American car companies because they either were decidedly NOT doing fine, or did require government help to do so: Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, GMC, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, Hummer, Geo, Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Plymouth, Saab.
  6. let the westside battle begin!
  7. http://shine.yahoo.com/beauty/real-life-anime-girl-anastasiya-shpagina-8217-bizarre-172400323.html I just thought the name was funny, as well as the whole story.
  8. Cause of OBAMA that's why...
  9. If you don't think that is 1 heavily intertwined system, I fear you don't understand how dependent each company is on each other. The big 3 use the same vendors, the same tool shops, the same molders, the same manufacturers. if 2 dropped off the map, the 1 left wouldn't have the volume to support those businesses. I happen to work for a company who is a tier 1 automotive supplier. I suppose that gives me a certain bias and perspective on this as well.
  10. Wait wait wait, you mean if this administration doesn't stop it, right? How come anything you disagree with is obama's fault and anything you DO agree with is congress saving us?
  11. nope, apparently not, but it WOULD make them lawfully accountable.
  12. you're not supposed to leave your gun somewhere that your 6 yr old can, of her own volition, gain access to it with or without your knowledge.
  13. Define "carelessly left laying about"... does the law already define that?
  14. Well, I guess that depends if you have children at your house. (which I was assuming you didn't) I guess the bold part is the clincher for me... If a minor gains access to your gun because of your lack of due diligence, you should be held accountable.
  15. The XL600 we had, I just filled it up to the dipstick, rode it around some, then added some more if needed...
  16. My taxes aren't higher, and I'm willing to bet yours aren't either... you've exaggerated the number of executive orders by well over 700, great job staying informed. You know why jobs move to mexico, china, and the middle east? I'll give you a clue, but it's not based primarily on taxes, it's based primarily on direct labor costs. ask Apple
  17. I would hope not, but similar events have occurred What if you don't know they left it/took it off? Kudos to you sir. Kudos to you sir I didn't leave it, I may not have even known you had one, you came over, you left it at my house. May be that simple if you know.. if not what legal recourse do you have? if the world were full of competent people, I would agree... i guess I don't care what you do with your gun in your own house.
  18. you come over to my house, hang out, have a good time... take your gun out of your holster or your holster off your belt (whatever the case may be) then you have a good time pass out drunk or whatever, go home without your gun. Next morning my niece comes over picks it up, and bam... instant tragedy.
  19. Kids don't need to get their hands on guns... I'm all for allowing adults to do whatever they want...
  20. the first law seems unecessary... the second one makes sense...
  21. lowered S-10's and lifted dually diesels with the occasional riced out subie and honda thrown in.
  22. too bad we can't grave dig this thread... www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=29180
  23. well, if NO action was taken, we would still be in a world where Osama bin laden was alive, libya would still have a supressive dictator, wall street would have collapsed, as well as the american auto industry, our currency would be worth nothing, and we'd be worse off than greece... this president turned the economy around, now some people think he did it unjustly, but unjustly or not, we are growing again, not crashing.
