between my father and myself we've had over 70 air cooled VW's currently I have one, and dad has 2. Once assembled I've only had the same engine maintenence as my XX, tune up and oil changes. my neighbor has 3 ultralights that are VW powered, if he trusts them enough to fly with them, i trust them enough to drive me places.

I had a much longer trip to columbus, but from west virginia it was pretty much a straight shot north, where you had to go through columbus again.

just for ticket issuing... yep, georgia had quite a few, too so was the camaro... an example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9PkwZ9ne24 and they would hide behind bushes in the median (i ended up not speeding a lot through georgia because they were so stealthy.)

I've seen several police chargers, many ford escapes, a few camaros (mostly state police in georgia), and a few impalas.. charger certainly seems to be the favorite for now.

Made it home around 9:30, so are we calling this... 1. Rainy River Ride 2. West Virginia Waterslide 3. Fonzie's Slab-tastic Voyage 15 and 1/2 hours from start to finish... not bad and I'm the DTC member of the year! uhm...2 years ago and that shit is a lot harder 2-up... usually I can move around and stand up, and stretch out... not so easy with the back-pack

that's right, between the 2 sams and the 2 XXers, there will be plenty of fuel... then again, we can just make plenty of stops...and bullshit for shorter intervals at said stops, it's no big deal. 50% chance @ weather.com here and fayetteville, 80% columbus.
