sellout.woot is selling the same exact one i have today for 230... http://deals.woot.com/sellout same OS, same hardware, I've not had any troubles with mine.
  4. @ bandit, it's a 70, but it has 63 front fenders, and I'm ordering the old style bumpers for it tomorrow. (like this one http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/1928/2621/29818810010_large.jpg)
  5. maybe he REALLY wanted to race
  6. cool, the 17th looks promising for turnout, I'm happy about that.
  7. too bad you're leaving so early in the month, if it were closer to the 22nd I'd have ridden with you the whole way, then back to georgia.
  8. @ gary, I'm cool with ride then eat... @ lost, that sounds like a really cool idea. Dweezel invited us to this restaurant called "the warehouse" down on whitewoman st. in Roscoe Villiage. It would be almost a 3 hour ride 1 way (about perfect for me). Another plus is if we set up a specific time to arrive, we could have some of the central people and obviously the coshocton crew meet us for lunch/dinner depending on when we left. (leave at noon, get there around 3, eat, shoot the breeze, home around 8, where as if we leave at 9, be back home around 5, etc etc) just an idea.
  9. I have the 17th open, that's about it, the weekend of the 10th i have a wedding, and the weekend of the 24th I'll be in georgia. (looking fwd to them roads) so if that doesn't work for most of us, then I guess I'll have to miss this one. Anybody got any good restaurant suggestions?
  10. lets start a new thread for a mid-late april meet edit: or I'll be impatient and do it myself... http://www.ohio-riders.com/showthread.php?t=56451
  11. mostly straight shot from los angeles, california (santa monica pier) to Vinita, Oklahoma (holiday inn express). I had just guzzled 2 red bulls and I was still dozing off, so I decided to stop before I killed myself.

for $85, it looks like a decent web getup, if for nothing else.
  13. "katana in coshocton" just means crash (since that seems to be the bike that wrecks most often in group rides down there). I wasn't referring to the bike itself.
  14. you've barely warmed up your tires, your engine, and your seat after an hour... my normal rides are 3-5 hours, and my longest was 30...
  15. I've never seen kosmo take that tone with anybody
  16. he rides that thing up and down 46 all the time. It looks like he bought a crate v8, and didn't bother taking it out of the crate, just bolted some forks, and a pair of rear wheels to the crate. I don't know him.
  17. He was the ride leader, he approached you like an adult, YOU got shitty and stormed off in a hissy fit.
  18. that was no girl, that was kawi kid...
  19. added speaks to the roll bar, and some aux headlights.
  20. only took 1 picture w/my droid.
  21. looks like the chopper was chasing him...too bad he didn't get lessons from our resident "chopper outrunner" quickzx9r that's a pretty quick way to turn a performance machine into little more than random pieces of garbage.
  22. if it was stolen, it was probably picked up and put in a van...wheel locks mean nothing if you pick it up.

yes, depending on operating system they are every bit as versatile as laptops, just much smaller, (read: more portable) and the hardware isn't as fast. this means longer battery life, but don't try running full featured pro-engineer and expect it to perform. If you already have a desktop, a netbook is a perfect addition, You can check email, surf the web, run some office programs, watch a movie, listen to music, even play "time wasting" games (solitaire, minesweeper, etc). If you're planning on using it as your only system, you will probably want to go with something more substantial. (optical drive, multiple gigs of ram, a better processor) if you have the option, I'd go with a XP system, it uses less resources than vista or 7, and it's still pretty good for most things. mine is an acer aspire one with an atom processor, 1gig of ram, runnin xp home sp3.
  24. Basically anything BUT fram. and Mobil 1 to refill
