not to but that owners manual appears to be referring to 2 seperate models. ( I had an old school cutlass that the owners manual included cutlass, and custom cruiser.) the only problem with this theory is that I can't find any information on an F model 1000 for any cbr's past 1999. the RR (fireblade) and F (hurricane) were 2 seperate bikes from 1994 to 1999.

I don't hate anyone, I'm not even upset about it... just thought it was a bad call on 2 accounts: 1 it was specifically requested at the rider meeting, please no wheelies. 2 when the ride leader commented about it, the participant got shitty with him and stormed off in a hissy fit... Situation could've been handled WAY better, that's all.

@ this point there was only 1 pack. And as gary said, wheelies in the middle of a group ride for everyone is uncalled for.

no...Not sure of the dude's name, he's vertically challenged, and was aiming for the curb to put his foot down, just didn't quite make it far enough, couple more scratches on a bike that was downed by previous owners, he didn't seem upset much.

effing wind playing ping pong with my bike.. some sort of major wreck on route 6 on my way home. Ride went well, a few minor issues: half the group getting a little lost, a jerkwad on a red fireblade trying some 1 wheel turns in the middle of the pack, and a dropped silver SV at the gas station. Thanks Likwid for leading the stragglers/playing sweep. Thanks to Lost for leading us. Thanks to everyone who came out and made this a successful ride! Next time my stereo will be TWICE as loud, LOL.

@ TG, while there are no guarantees, watch some AMA racing sometime... those guys go down @ speeds upwards of 200, and usually walk away... So don't fool yourself into thinking your odds are the same with or without gear. your odds of walking away, rather than being carted away, are MUCH MUCH MUCH better with gear on. Loud pipes don't save lives, gear does. I'm totally against mandating it, but I'm all for reccomending it.
