damn...i know you're right, but i really want to bring my cement blocks along... the XX gets about 200 to a tank (thats full tank to 1 bar) a little better since i just went up a tooth on the front sprocket.

stops and times are not written in stone. I do plan on doing 95% of my riding during the day. The XX is no goldwing, but she's no RR either; I've done a few 16 hour days on her and it didn't totally kill me. (worst I had was wind burn on my knuckles) I do take your advice serious, and i'm going to consider leaving tuesday. (i just used yahoo for the drive times)

I got laid off a month ago... i have a years supply of PTO...it's called "unemployment compensation" I figure this trip can be had in style for less than 2 grand...and I have 3 in savings... I just built a back rest/luggage rack for the bike, and I'm leaving on wednesday... Wednesday I ride 13 hours, new lyme to springfield missouri, Thursday I ride 12 hours springfield to albequerque Friday I ride 11 hours albequerque to LA Saturday I enjoy LA, including the beach, hollywood, and some night life (probably splurge on a good hotel in case I meet some ladies...) Sunday I ride 4 hours to vegas Monday I ride 11 hours to denver Tuesday I ride 12 hours to St. Louie Wednesday I ride 9 hours to New Lyme...

ahh, that sucks... well how about randomly heading south west taking whatever roads appear?

shit...I wish I'd have known...(my own fault) looks like it was a hell of a ride.

I grew up hearing about CBX this and CBX that.... In 2001 I heard a rumor about a new CBX1600 that was supposed to come out in '04. at the time, the new CBX looked VERY similar to the XX... I knew I wanted it.. so I saved and saved, and found one in jersey...(the XX that is)

I'm in...dunno if i'm going down early or not...
