It was my test ride on Heather's cm450e that I smoked a 883. Guy said he had it all screaming Eagle and tuned. The little $300 ujm had no trouble pulling away from it with little over half the displacement. I think the higher revs made the biggest difference in power and speed.

It's the low revs that really limit top speed, If your engine only has 4k of usable rpm, you need to make your gears much taller which is going to consume all that extra torque.

it appears to have been built specifically for a dyno drag competition. If it actually is what it's claimed to be, it's not a harley any more than a Boss Hoss is a harley. Build claims aftermarket (S&S) engine not a harley, and aftermarket transmission. it's also allegedly chain drive... So interesting (if true) but not a harley.

Quality was checked, and if you passed a defective piece you got docked triple... so if you put 50 in the box and 3 were bad, you got rate for 41... It was a good enough incentive to make quality parts and not pass scrap.

The only time i worked in a factory in normal production, we had a piece rate. If you made 110% of "rate" you got 110% of your pay. If you made 90 to 100% of "rate" you got paid normally. If you did less than 90% you got written up or reprimanded depending on circumstances. If you busted your ass it wasn't unheard of to double your pay. This seems the "right" way to encourage efficiency.
