yes, the "company" was bought and sold, whole, as a company, not just a trademarked name, but a manufacturing business.

right, Willie Harley and Art Davidson are dead, too but at least with Harley, they've been an enduring company... not just a name that has been bought and sold... don't get me wrong, they look cool, and i'd totally ride one, but saying indian is "back" or being built "again" is really a misnomer...

To be clear, they're not "really" new Indians, they are polaris motorcycles with Indian logos. No part of the original Indian team is designing or building them, and they are so far removed from the original company that it's more like a tribute band than anything. Still, anything American to compete with Harley is cool with me.

I bought a Cub Lo-boy 154 for this purpose... My craftsman track drive snow thrower cost me $50 and does a fine job as well, but it's not doing anything to the heavily packed stuff (climbs right on top of it) when it gets packed or heavy, the lo-boy puts on the calcium filled tractor treads and i can shove around just about anything. a 4wd quad would have similar utility...though maybe not quite as much grunt...

Oh i hear ya... But as it turns out I've never been on a cruise, so i think i'll try that for a change. I have ridden rediculously long days on my bike across the country, and while it was enjoyable for me, I think i'd rather have a comfort bike like a GW or a K1600 GT if i were to try it 2-up.

Everything is relative... it "handles well" compared to other things they've ridden, or "handles well" for their riding style...sure My XX handles well for the riding I do and I have gotten compliments on how well she hangs in the corners... Likwid's vrod handles better than any other harley i've seen including vrod dave... but i suspect it had more to do with the crazy ass rider than the engineering of the bike.
