  1. I think the only thing left to do within the legal limits would be for the wife to file a civil suit for damages. Make him and his family hurt financially. He ADMITTED to the lesser offense, he's not denying it. The kid's father wants justice, so let him support his son and pay up.

Our system is not right and reading the sentence passed down further validates it.

A friend of mine just got back from spending 6 months in China:

He told me that if he had killed a Chinese national in a vehicle crash he would be obligated to pay the victim's family the annual wages of the victim for the rest of his life, but no jail time. At least the victim would have been recognized for his monetary value.

Not much better of a solution but at least the victim's family would not slip into a financial hardship.

  2. I work as a Lab Tech for The OSU Medical Center in the immunology lab. I have the pleasure of testing for autoimmune disorders, invasive fungal infections, STD's as well as the many infectious viruses that love nothing more then to make our lives miserable.

I'm also a part-time student at OSU and soon to be full-time student at UC taking online classes.

  3. I could not pass up the chance for a ride, even though it was our anniversary.

She even let me take her sv650 on a solo ride, the only pics I took were at the Alum Creek Dam. It was nice to get out again and enjoy riding, I wish I could have spent more than a few hours out but spousal duties called.

  4. ah! its so tempting to go look at, and try and buy one...but there's no point in it right now. :(

Would you rather think about it, or go into your garage and sit on it?

    You have 4 months..............

  5. What for an MOS? I am thinking still.

    I'm sure you'll get an s-load of advice, but here's my $.02.

Consider the big picture and look long term. You will have the opportunity to obtain free training in one of countless occupations. Pick one that would make you employable on the outside world in a field that not only pays well but is in need of qualified applicants.

6 years can move by pretty quick and you may have all you want of it after your enlistment obligation.

Get any extra schooling you want in your contract! I didn't get Jump school in my contract and spent 3 years putting in requests, to no avail. My regret.

  6. Really the question you need to ask yourself is would you have paid what you paid (let alone top dollar) for a bike that you knew was a salvage title bike?

I got the seller to hand over $1100, which makes the sell price $2400. I've been over the bike pretty good and so far all it needed was a battery and a rectifier/regulator. I would have rather not dealt with any of this. Had I been informed of the bikes status I would have walked.

I think the outcome was good so I don't feel as though I was screwed.

This is going to be a starter bike for a girl that has never ridden anything with a motor attached.

I won't be too pissed when it drops.
