  1. Does the Dayton crew ever meet up and talk? Maybe even get together at a restaurant or something.
  2. I haven't had a chance to really ride it since then. I might go hit some back roads after work. Maybe I'll call some people.
  3. Everything I would have said has been said somewhere within the 451 posts.
  4. I still haven't heard back from my buddy. Don't know what's up. I'll try calling him tonight and see what's up.
  5. That is prety cool. Wonder what a matching helmet would look like.
  6. I'm kinda hessitant to load something like this. It makes it too easy for others to track me. Just like Google Latitude.
  7. Welcome to the site. I'm out at the base as well. What area are you at?
  8. It has gotten worse and he is starting to worry about it. I would take a picture of it, but it makes me sick. He has an appointment today at the hospital.
  9. I don't even know if I still have your number. I've lost my contact list a few times. (going through phones)
  10. I don't hear anyone talking about them, because I don't read those threads. I don't want to tease myself. Right now I work 3 jobs. 1 FT 2 PT. I have no time do to anything. I haven't had a weekend off in 2 weeks and I have 3 more weeks to go before I get one. Then that weekend will be when I have to go to Chicago for my brothers wedding. It's just been non-stop for me. The only riding I get to do is to and from work. That's why I'm hitting these ramps like they are twisties on the backroads. Thanks for the offer. If I get some time, I WILL take you up on it.
  11. I'd be tired by the time I got there.
  12. Welcome to the site man. Glad you signed up. If I talked to you more, I would have told you about this place. Keep in touch.
  13. They are battleax, but not sure the model. Do you know anything about them? Are they any good? As far as the chicken strips... I don't like going backroading (at a fast pace) out here. One, because I don't know the area. (Only lived here for 5 years and haven't gotten out much) Two, because people do stupid stuff when they see you on the backroads. Three, the roads out here are horrible. There is a lot of dirt, rocks, and slippery stuff on the road that makes you not want to ride on them. I would LOVE to take my bike on a track. The only problem with that is time, or lack there of.
  14. I WILL be checking them every couple of rides. The twitchyness of the throttle is gone. It's easier to flip back and forth. Accelerates MUCH better. I even think my speed is now where it supposed to be. (There is another thread about that) So, I think, everything is back to normal. Thanks for the info. Oh... Maybe now I'll be able to slim down those chickens...
  15. Ok... I'm a dumbass. It WAS the tire pressure. + rep for everyone who said that.
  16. When I said it was twitchy, I was referring to the throttle response. Sometimes it's like a light switch. Either on or off.
  17. I'll check the tire pressure when I get home. The temp out there was 85 degrees. I was staring at a banks sign while I was eatting. I guess since I haven't really been hitting corners hard, I kinda forgot to expect it to possibly slide out a little. Been a while since I had to 'hold on and wait for it to catch traction again.' As to the suspension, I'm not sure what it's set at. I haven't adjusted it since I got the bike. I'll have to see if my buddy can take a look at it.
  18. I'm not sure what the tire brand is or the tire pressure. They were on the bike when I bought it. They are still in excellent condition. As far as the chicken strips... It's Ohio. Enough said. When I lived in California, we use to hit the mountains up at LEAST 3 times a week. I had NO chicken strips then, but on this flat land... Yes, there will be big fat furry chickens with me on just about every ride. For some reason, my throttle has been acting a little touchy lately. I do not try to throttle out of the turn, if I can help it. I try to stay at a constant speed. I've done it too many times and the bike gets twitchy. (Kinda how the bike was before I put the PC3 on there) At least not on turns at higher speeds. On that turn, I kept it at a constant speed. Once I get close to being upright is when I usually get back on it. I'm guessing that there was probably something in the road that I didn't see. Maybe just a small amount of water from the condensation off of the A/C in a cage. I don't know, but it was just enough of a slide to make me pucker without freaking out too much.
  19. On my way back from lunch today, I knew I was going to be hitting a tight corner, so I prepared and hit it at about 50mph. As I'm going around this corner, my rear tire slides while I'm going through the apex. The ground was clear of any fluids, sand, dirt, and rocks... I don't know what the heck happened. About a block away, I had to make another turn (Same side -right-) going ~5mph and the rear tire slid a little again. As I pulled into my parking spot, (about a half mile away) I checked the tire and it was warm, soft, and free of any foreign substances. I'm baffled as to what the problem was. I took this picture as soon as I got off my bike... (yes, I know my rim is dirty) Any ideas?
