Welcome to the site. What brings you to Ohio? I moved here because of the military. My first year, we had 2 feet of snow. Dayton is #4 on worst cities in the US. I hope you have plans and they include a good paying job that will not law you off. ie government job

Yesterday coming home, a car decided to pull in front of me as I was coming up to a light, because they couldn't make a left from the far right lane. The car pulled in 1 1/2 feet in front of me, while I was going about 25mph. I blew my horn at them, but not nearly long enough. I ended up pulling in front of them, and pulled along side the bike I was riding next to, at the light. If I wasn't in shock, I would have turned around and said something. THEN... On my way to work this morning, I'm behind about 5-6 cars on a state route and all of them are tailgating. (We are doing about 65mph) All of a sudden, they all slam on their brakes, because some dumbass decides he wants to make an illegal U-turn. He doesn't use a blinker or anything. I hit both brakes and was able to stop in time, but it sure as hell woke me up. Be carefull out there! Don't fall into a trance because your ride is borning.

I always thought that they stoped selling those in the 90s,but I keep seeing people wearing them. I guess they still make them.

When I got caught in the rain, my bike was sliding sideways down the interstate. I think that's the most scared I've been in my entire life. Not only was there a great chance I would fall, but then I'd have 20 cars behind me run over me.

I've gone over that scenario millions of times. The reason you carry is to protect yourself, but if something were to happen in a CPZ establishment, what would you do? I know that if my (or my families) life were in danger what I'd do. But I'd have to be ready to do some time in jail. Best solution is to stay away from those places.

I will be going for a ride in a bit though. Anyone want to go?

I wish there were some places that taught Krav Maga in the Dayton area.
