My CHL expired 7/18/09. This will be my first renewal. I lost my original training certificate. According to ohioccw.org FAQ my current license should be good for proof of certification; "For first time renewals, a valid CHL not more than 30 days past its expiration date will serve as proof of training. " (http://www.ohioccw.org/frequently-asked-questions.html#renew) The AG handbook makes no mention of this (http://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/le/prevention/pubs/2009_ccw_book.pdf) Franklin Co. Sheriff's office says a prior CHL is insufficient evidence of prior training once it has expired. Has anyone used their prior CHL to renew without a training certificate? Definitely some bad information somewhere.

I have an X. Major difference I believe is the T adds a front flip up sight and full length rail. Pay attention to what features you are paying for, and which ones you really need. Most can be added later if desired. S&W makes a quality AR. I love mine. Only issue I have heard from others is some of the older lowers are picky about PMAGs. Price might be fair in this market, but I wouldnt call it a deal.

Overall, great bikes. Look at the world championships they have won. Been making quality bikes for 100 years. Parts have been especially scarce recently since the Cagiva to BMW ownership change, but that is rapidly improving. That said, it is an exotic. If you've never owned an exotic bike like a ducati, Agusta, husaberg, etc just realize its going to be a little different than a honda.

I just want to clarify I was not up there taking pictures as you infer here. I understand/agree with everything that has been said except one part: If there is an ohio riders STT day and I go up there and take pictures then come back and post them all over the web for free or donations, how is that not undercutting the designated STT guy, how is that acceptable while charging for the photos is not? For the record I've contacted Monte both last year and this year to better understand their photo policy, with no response.

If someone wants a private photographer next time let me know. I have references and examples of work I will not go out and shoot everyone next to some prick who thinks he owns the event and risk irritating the STT staff though. Too bad its such a big pain to get a few killer shots of yourself on the track. Without competition the photog can charge obscene amounts of money and take shitty pictures. If a few of us get out there it keeps everyone honest, and provides the best product to the riders.
