As mentioned, careful with that. It does have to break away with certain force, or I believe, as an alternative, it can be mounted further from the road. (not sure on that). I would do a brick house around the box for strength. I had a friend whose mailbox would get trashed with each passing of the snow plow (country roads). They built it on what was essentially a tripod of wood. The force would push the box over, pick it up in the morning. When we were having issues with box bashing, we stuffed a couple paint cans in the box. The bashing ended after that hit.

What do you guys know about the coating offered when buying a new car? It is a sprayed-on protective layer, with a 5 yr. warranty against paint stains and abraisions (sap, tar, bird bombs, etc.). They recommend you do not wash your car with soap, only rinse. (although their "special" suds can be used) Just curious what everyone's opinions are on this stuff, and its long-term performance. I was checking out one car that just had it done, and the finish is slick-as-shit. Another friend of mine has had it for a few months, and he still claims the dirt still rinses right off.

Might want to check prices on a new receiver/drier while you are at it...

USPS sucks for tracking. I had a $200 package disappear in the mail a few years ago, and there was basically nothing they could do. They have "delivery confirmation," but that sucks, because all it tells you is if the package arrived or not. (if it gets updated) If you didnt send it with insurance you are probably SOL, but you may try a USPS customer service # to see if they can see when/if it was shipped by your address.

I know this from prior experience(s).
