shar2487
i ride a 06 GSXR 600 and am looking to get new tires.. recommendations?? I do not ride really hard, only on trips to the twistys! Mostly just ride around town and to school. I have no clue what to get!
bshultz0930
I know there are quite a few of us that ride with Michelin radials. They're a hard tire to kill, you can get lots of mileage out of them.
QuikAccord
I have gotten 7000 so far on my Q2s. I'm pretty sure I can get another 2000 out of them.
20thGix
I think most any name brand Sport Bike tire will suffice for the street. Me personally i have Dunlop Q2's and like them. Hope that helps.
Gixxus Christ!
I had a 600 for a while, ran batlax Bt016's on it. They were super sticky but didn't wear very long, neither did the Dunlop 206 gp's. I've heard good things about the Bt023 sport touring radial nut haven't rode on them. Whatever tire you pick, check eBay for a better price. I picked up a pair of continental conti motion for $165 shipped. Would have been $190 from any bike or tire website. Helmutt
I run Roadsmart 2's on the street, and Q2's for spirited stuff. Both hold up well for me and my big bike, but I've stuck with Dunlop because I've had results I wanted. Michelin has a lot of options, but I've only had 1 set of Powers the last 2 bikes so I can't speak much of them
2talltim
one of these options or GTFO!!!:D:Dhttp://www.michelinmotorcycle.com/index.cfm?event=pilotroad2http://www.michelinmotorcycle.com/index.cfm?event=pilotroad3
BeauCrawzy
I ran BT016's for awhile and got something like 4000 miles + 1 track day. I just got Bridgestone S20's last season and love them so far. They're both all around good tires for the price.

aforrest4
I'm a big fan of the Q2s.But if you are on a budget, The best I have found on good relatively sticky tires are the standard Pilot Powers. You can usually find them for $200 a set.

TRMN8TR
Lots of good recommendations but one question would be do you ever ride in the rain? If you do a lot of the more sporty tires are not a good choice. There's plenty of sport touring tires that offer loads more grip on a wet road but still plenty of grip for a more spirited ride. Something along the lines of a Continental road attack. One of the members here turned me on to them for street tires a few years ago and I really like them. Hutch
I have gotten 7000 so far on my Q2s. I'm pretty sure I can get another 2000 out of them.7000 out of Q2s I must be doing something wrong. I love the tires and happy if I get 2500 out of them
QuikAccord
I have no need to lie about my mileage. Not sure how I got the mileage I got out of them. I just ride. Some commuting, mostly riding in the twisties at my own moderately aggressive pace. And the way the weather is lately, I'll more than likely be riding on these on the epic ride. Helmutt
I'm lucky to get 4-5k out of a set on my Roadsmarts, but the Q2s only have around 500 miles on them and I dont expect to get near the mileage since they're for play time
FZ08
All of those tire's are great choice's..
NinjaNick
Pilot Powers I got 2500-3000 on my 636.Roadsmarts on my 14 I get MAX 5000 miles. They grip like a mf'er and last the longest out of all tires I tried. I have Pirelli Angels on right now just to try them and they are just like the Roadsmarts, it's just your preference. NinjaNick
The 1's are all I've used and nothing great with the new 2 except a reason to raise the prices. So I will use 1's until they are fully discontinued.http://www.motosport.com/motorcycle/dunlop-roadsmart-tire-combos
shar2487
I been lookin at the pilot power c2 seems they have the best ratings over all and I was fond of the pilots I had on my last bike I've never got more than 3k on a set of tires hope these will give me more
