Setting Suspension

interesting thing about suspension settings on the street....there is no perfect setting.  the ever changing pavement types and surface conditions pretty much make doing it useless.

the only setting you should get right is your sag.

that's what your suspension is resting at with you sitting on it all geared up.  get that in the ballpark and your suspension will work as good as it can for everything you ride it on.

setting the rebound and compression somewhere in the middle is plenty good enough.

thomas, vortex makes a nice lowering link for the sv.  while I don't recommend lowering it for handling reasons it's your bike,

Would lowering it a measly half inch mess with the handling ?

We actually are not setting sag anymore. Take the length of the springs and compress @10mm and run it. It's all feel after that point.

No more old school sag stuff anymore. You can check to see where you are, but it isn't anything we are focused on anymore.
