Scruit
Still makes absolutely zero sense. How many OSU cops have been killed by IEDs or land mines? Even during the riots, how many officers were killed or even wounded? How is this justified? Are people just so brainwashed at this point that everyone sees it as acceptable to have an armored military vehicle owned by a university police department? It was free, no? redkow97
Really? How did that come about? All county employees and law enforcement officers (I am both) who work, or might be on patrol within a certain radius of the Perry nuclear power plant are provided with potassium iodide tablets. I totally admit that it has zero to do with the current topic, which is why I thought it was a funny response to your otherwise pretty decent retort. As noted, I was playing devil's advocate. I don't necessarily disagree with you.

jporter12
To answer the original question: because Coshocton County has one! Just saw it on the news. If I missed it in the replies, sorry, tl:dr.
Gixxus Christ!
Yeah....Brimfield just bought an mrap....for those unfamiliar Brimfield is a small rural suburb of kent. They justify needing a fucking bomb proof tank by saying they had an active shooter situation a few years back....so yeah...you need a tank. Second how in the world can a tiny community like Brimfield justify a MRAP, even at a purchase price of $0?!!! According to Wikipedia the 2000 census was about 3200 people. That is barely more than a cross roads!Borrow the SWAT vehicle from Kent or Akron for the once in a generation that your town actually has a need for one.
