Question i have is it worth fixing and keeping for a bigger bedroom TV or should i just use this as target practice? It is a plasma if that makes a difference? bowdog Posted June 25, 2014 Author Report Share Posted June 25, 2014 That is what i was thinking is $100 at the max, I already replaced it with a 60" Samsung smart TV so was thinking if it is a cheap fix and someone here new about them then great, if not this thing may see an Uzi followed by something big! I may open it up to see if anything obvious is wrong but i am guessing it is a board that needs replaced, which appears to cost more than its worth. bowdog Posted June 26, 2014 Author Report Share Posted June 26, 2014 I actually had a technician over last night for a different issue. He told me it is the power board which retails for $300 new. I am going to search e bay and a couple others and see if i can get one for around $100 and if so fix it. It is as simple as removing the back cover, unplugging the old one and plugging in the new power supply.
