ReconRat
This will hurt to watch. A couple from Elkhart Indiana passing through Ohio on the freeway. Traffic slowed, and they didn't. OSHP dash cam captured the crash. High side. No helmets. http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/news/local/cruiser-cam-terrifying-motorcycle-crash/ngWgz/
turnone
Don't see any reason for that crash. Lane was open and bike has two brakes.
ReconRat
Rapid lane change is two shifts of energy, mass, and motion. With following dissipation. He only got the first one.
max power
Did he lock up the rear?
Scruit
Riding without a helmet is a choice. A fucking stupid choice, mind.
Scruit
Did he lock up the rear? Are you thinking non-ABS bike, locked up rear, and instinctively let the brake off but the back wheel was out of it's track and letting it roll again made the wheel snap back into line, causing the high side? That's what I'm thinking...
ReconRat
His front wheel was pointed in direction of travel while sideways when it went over. If the front wheel had been straight and pointing to the right, it might have gone that way. Still out of control, but might have initiated another skid to recover. Hard to do on a heavy bike. But possible if the weight is down low.
Grokked
1: Hard to have weight down low when 2-up.2: Looks like that semi driver earned his money when swerving completely off the right side.
redkow97
Hats off to the semi driver. Those rigs aren't cheap, not to mention whatever cargo he's carrying. off-roading in a tractor-trailer is a huge risk when you're attempting to avoid people who are probably already dead. MidgetTodd
Harley riders. No gear. No real riding ability. Pretty much sums up most Harley crashes
2talltim
It's a Harley everyone knows that if you use the front brake on them you are going to go over the bars. Thought that was common sense.
