I read a whole bunch of articles about performance riding and watched twist of the wrist a few times before my first track day. Turned out I was rubbish... Doubt I broke a 2:00 lap time at Mid-O. Nine track days later and zero books/vids, I've shaved about 15 seconds off my lap times. I still suck, but now I suck a little less...

FWIW, I lean less in right hand turns. I call it, "The Mailbox Factor", as in, "the mailboxes are closer to my head in right hand bends than lefts".  It's mental for sure.
