scottb
I heard on National Public Radio a segment about http://www.alibaba.com site. It is a business to business site "overseas" for mostly electronic companies.BackgroundI was looking on line for a service or tool rental for camera to inspect my drain tiles around my house. I suspect one of the clay tiles is either cracked or clogged. There were a few websites that show how to make your own inspection camera setup using a waterproof USB camera and drain rods.Should cost about $50 to $70 (way cheaper then renting or having a service call ) to build your own camera setup if buying off of amazon. Then, assuming the camera survives the trip down the drain pipes, I am thinking i could use the camera for engine inspection down a sparkplug hole.Back to the alibaba site, USB cameras with 30 to 50 feet of cable are about $2 - 5 direct from manufacture. Some have a minimum order,Some dont. So going the super cheap route, I could buy a few cameras direct, but never dealt with any of the companies on the site. I realize saving $15 bucks might not be worth the risk of buying overseas, but just curious.Or, if anyone in the north east ohio area has a drain inspection camera, let me knowThoughts? OsuMj
I bought stuff from there too and it worked out for me. I use a prepaid visa on that site just in case though.
