Beastly beater truck

Picked up a badass beater truck last week. Thought you guys might dig it.

It's a 96 F250 4x4 5 speed with a 460 big block and 4.10 gearing.

Steel flat bed, fifth wheel hitch, brake controller. 117,000 mi.

Never thought my suburban would lose it's gas hog status in my fleet.

Unfortunately, I can't upload pics. Guess the uploader doesn't like pics from my phone.

Every time I try to put up a pic it says file too large. Don't know how to shrink down a pic from an iPhone.

Thanks Big Teem.

This one is fairly rust free. The cab has a bit in the corner of the door bottoms but nothing like most.

The frame has been coated and it doesn't leak a thing. I put new front brakes on it yesterday.

So far I've put new brakes and rotors on it, replace the broken four-wheel-drive linkage, replaced the old shitty taillights with LEDs and have LED reverse lights on the way.

Just once I'd like to buy something that doesn't need any work done to it.

Can't drive it until my birthday because they wanted $25 more to tag it a month early.

Screwed by the Man!

Tell us what kind of reverse lights they are and if they work.

The reverse and tail lights are LED ebay cheapies and they work great. Got about $50 for the whole deal.

As you can see, she's been getting lots of use lately.

That's 4000 pounds of gravel in the last picture.

Busted a rear brake line a few weeks ago. Of course, the line was so crusted that I had to replace the wheel cylinders too, and while I was at it, might as well do the whole rear brake assembly. $200 later she's back on the road.
