Why should you buy the all new Nucleon back protectors?  They're lighter, removing about 12oz of weight when compared to the Bionic series.  They're more breathable, integrating mesh fabric and holes that allow ventilation to pass through.  They're adjustable using heavy duty velcro to keep the waist belts in place and are able to move up or down the side of the back protector.

What's the difference between the KR-1 featured here and the new KR-R?  They're essentially the same thing, only the KR-R doesn't have shoulder straps and is intended for Alpinestars race suits with the back protector snap.  The KR-1 pictured is perfect for someone who wants to add some better protection under their riding jacket or non-Alpinestars race suit.
