2talltim
Not really looking for a pity party but this will be the first mothers day without mom. Not sure how I'm going to handle it.

You get her a present and put it on her grave. On your bike trips, pick up little stones...like from a riverbed...and drop them off at the grave site. We do that every trip, I did it quietly on our Mt. Rushmore trip, got her one from the Badlands. You don't mourn her loss, you celebrate her life. That has helped us a lot. But; I don't do cemeteries. Probably sounds selfish but I probably won't go back out there till dad passes. But we have a wishing well mom bought us two Christmas ago we finally a couple weekends ago put it out in the yard on some stones. It turned out nice and the wife and kids are going to plant flowers in it mother's day, kind of like a memorial to her. Anyway I can steal your idea and throw them in that wishing well. Here is a pic of what we did. She would have loved it.
redkow97
I need to get on top of some things for my mom and my wife. between the two of them, my kid is actually not picking up on my shockingly average parenting skills... But seriously, my mother is the best. She watched our daughter two days a week and cooks us dinner every Monday - plus she tolerated my sarcastic insolent ass for 18-22 years before I moved out.
