motocat12
I've had this for about a year, had been using it on the front wheel but started on the back this fall.I rolled a rear stand under the back then spun the wheel by hand to check if it was in neutral without taking off the lock, No pre-ride check as I wasn't riding. It's toasted. Looks like it would take a thief seconds to pry open. My solid bicycle Ulock 's on now. Edited January 17, 2016 by motocat12
2talltim
I think disc locks are silly to begin with. If someone wants your bike they are going to get it if they have to drag the wheel or just pick it up and throw it in a truck or trailer. Just ride it quit being paranoid and make sure you have it insured.
motocat12
My bike is a low theft rating, I don't have a garage, thieves are lazy, and insurance payouts can be underwhelming.I only use it overnight. Many thefts are by opportunity and the least secure bike in an area will get taken.
2talltim
I say let them take it. Means a new ride just need to make sure your coverages are good. Comp insurance is some of the cheapest insurance you can buy. Edited January 18, 2016 by 2talltim
Tonik
Well, I think maybe me and Moto should steal your bike and test your theory.
JustinNck1
I always figured if someone is gonna steal a bike, nothing is gonna stop them, and if it does, the damage from them trying to steal it is still gonna cause an insurance claim anyways. 2talltim
Gitty!!! My key is always in the bike When I'm out and about, I'm more worried about my riding gear, accessories and or luggage coming up missing more than I am my whole bike. Like that little punk in Gatlinburg last year. Then again I bet there isn't too much of a demand for 700lb silver couches. Really sucks especially since WV helmet is required, and there isnt somewhere close to buy a helmet.
