iwishiwascool
I cant find any info about this... classes purses etc? I want to know: Is there an import class? How much could I win?
SamZman
There is a 10in.(I think it's 10 ) tire and then >10in tire class. I think the guy who won the small tire class last year went a high 9, and the big tire class are in the 7's.. I think it's like an extra 50 bucks to race.. which is lame and why only superfast race cars join, and payoff is not impressive.. You're about 3 years late. That was when it was free to participate and having an 11 or even 12 second real street car could qualify. They've become more lax on what's a street car and made you pay to participate.. MaTS1200
Does anyone know if there will be a test and tune before the really fast cars run? I'm not driving all the way out there if I can't get a couple of runs in.
COLD AIR
King of Columbus to be crowned on Friday -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thursday, July 29, 2004 This year's QFM96 King of Columbus will be crowned this Friday night at National Trail Raceway. All of the top street legal cars in Central Ohio will be in attendance trying to become the royal leader for 2004. Both the QFM96 King of Columbus Outlaw and QFM96 King of Columbus 10.5 crowns will be up for grabs this year. But it will take a great effort by anyone to take the throne away from Von Kincannon in Outlaw and John Evans in 10.5. Both the Outlaw and the 10.5 class may only have one power adder on the car. Fiberglass is limited to only the hood, decklid, and bumpers. The framerails must be stock and the firewall must be in the stock location. The only difference between the two classses is the 10.5 class is limited to either 10.5 inch slicks or 30x13.5 tires. The Outlaw cars can run any type of tire. The gates for the QFM96 King of Columbus will open at 6:00 pm with the 1st qualifying session set for 7:00 pm. They will get two shots at the 1/4 mile to get into the 8-car field for both classes in this heads-up, first to the finish line event. The entry fee is $65.00 per car with $800.00 going to the winner of each class. In between rounds of KOC, we will be having our regular Street Legal time trials starting at 6:00 pm. Come on out and enjoy a night at National Trail Raceway and the QFM96 King of Columbus Street Legal Shootout. YES on the fri night regular car stuff

BDHG940
If we paid to race, are we able to go back out and race without paying again? Or do we have to pay to race again.

03STEED
Yeah but there was no way in hell that guy stood a chance at winning. He was the luckiest guy in Ohio winning that round. Looked to me like the tree screwed up or something. The same 10 sec truck came back second round and got some serious smack down put on em'!! COLD AIR
ON the video that some one took there never was a green light. The tree new you cant double bulb on a PRO tree. Thats why NHRA has there people do big events. and you can bet the over all winner had his people in the tower trying to not let them re run. 03STEED
So after watching the video do you think the truck won? I was there and my first thought was that the Vette lunged forward a bit and redlit but he didn't get a red light, the tree went off. Then the other guy took off..
