Nah, that car's going to fix. They'll strap it down to the rack, and pull everything back into it's proper position, replace the necessary panels, and repair the others. It'll take a while, but from what I can see, that is a repairable vehicle.

yup, had a similar accident last year, and thats what they did. theyll only total it if the damage is going to cost more than half the vehicles worth to fix. seeing as how suby's generally hold their value pretty well, i think your going to get it fixed, homie.

I was told by "mike" at rifes they are going to total it, he used to be an adjuster and said he would total it. I would think tthe bodyshop people would want the business. He said his best guess is 13,000 with out fixing the engine. apparently the front end pushed into the engine and broke the timing gears housing and one of the gears. Who knows what it is like internally? Shoping for STI's now.........

Yea, my fiance got in a similar accident about 2 years ago in the 98 Civic EX.

Hood fucked, Left and right fender fucked, winshield cracked. it ending up costing around 9,000 dollars to fix including rental car for her. Original estimate was around 7G's.

They would have totalled it if they would have known the real cost, but you can't predict the future.

Now we've got a fresh front end on a 100,000 mile car.

Rifes came up with, $16,ooo worth of damage not counting the engine. the engine is screwed up also. It broke my timing gears while it was still running. It is totaled, the car is only worth 18,775 on NADA. There has to be $1000 or more worth of damage to the engine. I test drove an STI today and I could own one in three days. There is light at the end of the tunnel. The adjuster will look at it Thursday.

DAMN!! graemlins/eek2.gif Didn't look that bad in your pics. If it's that bad, it should be totaled. Hope it all works out for ya. Make sure that you find out from the adjustor what you have to do to keep the parts you want. Probably just have you "mock up" the stock parts.

My next question is I have an 2002 ECU flashed to cobb stg two in the car. SO for the 02 wrx owners, here is a chance to get stg 2 cheap. If someone wants to give me $250 for the ecu and give me theirs out of their car I will try to talk to the adjuster.
