I highly doubt that, and w/ a bump in displacement to 7.0L and better heads/cam, they could definately hit that 500HP mark N/A.

Now if the Blue Devil is actually made (hopefully so), then that is "supposed" to be forced induction, but of the turbo variety. GM does know a few things about turbo cars, so it would be nice if they started doing those again (remember, the first turbo production cars were GM's...the Corvair Monza Spider and Olds Jetfire).

I disagree, if they new much about turbos they would have never touched the 2.0 sunbrid and that embarrassing ass 4.9 turbo trans am, I think it made like 275 hp...bleh.. on a side note their 3.8 turbo cars did whoop ass. I'll give em that

No.

The Blue Devil was built, but project was axed.

As far as turbo GM cars, keep your eyes on the news. Probably another year or so.

haha, damn, that's an old post.

In this thread I'm only saying no to forced induction. GM doesn't need forced induction to get 500HP. As far as that old thread, there are still conflicting reports of what engine is in the Z06. Mainly because they tell suppliers different numbers. If you read the Motor Trend/Car and Driver/The Car Connection you will see a conflicting report of what's in the car. I would not take what's posted on that web page to be fact, but it's not out of the question.

I like both approaches :D
