Dr. Pomade Posted February 23, 2005 Report Share Posted February 23, 2005 Had a chance today to take some pics of my newest purchase. Bought the car on Saturday. It's a 2004 Z06 w/ 7,000 miles. I've only had a chance to drive it for a few hours thus far, but I can tell you that it's light-years ahead of the 03 Cobra in terms of drivability and overall quality. For instance, in the Z06, you can actually shift without getting a cramp in your left leg, unlike the experience of mashing down the gorilla of a clutch in the Cobra. From a SOTP perspective, the Z06 and Cobra are fairly even, though the Z06 seems to have a little more up top, which is saying something, b/c plenty of people here can attest to how hard my Cobra pulled up top. I think a lot of it has to do with the weight and aerodynamics of the Z06. Another feature of the Z06 that I didn't think I would find as cool as I have is a heads-up display feature, which projects your MPH and RPMs on the windshield. Very neat, and something that would never appear in the relative wasteland that is Cobra's (i.e., any Mustang's) interior. I plan on posting more updates on my comparison of the Z06 and the Cobra once I've had more opportunity to drive the former. Please excuse the crappy quality of the pics.
